Attack/defense strategy

I often change my attack strategy for many reasons like it not working or maybe there's something better. But right now the only way to know is attacking someone and possibly losing trophies and wasting the elixir used to train your troops if you don't get enough to cover. Or maybe you built a new base arrangement and wanna test it out before someone attacks you. With my idea all that is covered. My idea is to be able to attack yourself. Now obviously this won't lose or gain trophies and gold/elixir. The only benefit of this is to know whether your base and army are a good set up or not.

I like it and even be able to attack your own teammates for free!? It would definetly make people more active and even better at attacking.

Prepare to have your idea ridiculed the a fat kid in high school. I posted the same idea a few days ago and have received nothing but grief since. I personally think its a fantastic idea, but some people have their heads so far up their asses that they think the sky is a dark shade of brown...

If everyone tells you your idea is bad then it means it is bad. How can you be so ignorant that you know better than everyone else on the forums. why did you even join the forums if your just going to ignore people coments and continue to insist your bad idea is good dispite everyone telling you otherwise.

This idea has been proposed a lot and I for one am in favor of it.

Not necessarily Nmills, ideas can be good but sometimes people can be like sheep and go along with the "popular" opinion. I for one like this idea but I highly doubt SC would implement it. If you think about it who else is great at attacking bases than a person on the forums? Most people would consider themselves pretty good farmers if there was a poll done. Now imagine building a base and who best to test it out than yourself? Now that would be wonderful! Your skills would seriously test your base other than "n00bs" who are lousy attackers.

if an idea is bad then the popular opinion will be that it is bad so whats the problem if people go along with it. Also people could use this to prepare for a revenge by duplicating their opponents base then finding the perfect way to beat it.

Good point.

Regardless, if a person is willing to spend that much time duplicating their opponents base then that's on them. It's a lot more time efficient to simply attack and continue with their farming. In the time they spend building their opponents base, practicing, plus the amount of times they failed and had to re-new their strategies is definitely not worth it. That's a fail on their part. Plus, a lot of Champions already use a mod where they already have the opportunity to do this so there wont be that much of a change on their part.

Plus I've been in this forum long enough to see that "popular" opinion may actually be bad but the train has already gained full steam for people to realize it may actually be a good idea.

OK granted that people will use this to plan a perfect revenge so what?? That one drawback can't compare to its benefits at all.
This is a greater idea and should be included in the next update.unless supercell is planning only to squeeze cash out of our pockets.
Not saying that they should make everything free.this is a good game and they deserve those cash but a brilliant idea like this shouldn't die in this forum just cause it isn't much profitable.

The main problem with the idea is the almost complete lack of detail.

What does it cost?
Does it use real troops?
How often can you do this, etc etc etc.

My reason though for being negative with it though (without knowing details) is that there are probably a dozen things I want before this... so it's a no.
