One of my friends told me about Clash of Clans a short while after it first came out, but I didn't really feel like downloading it. Several months later, another friend of mine starting bugging me about it as well xD. I gave in and have been playing ever since.
One of my best friends introduced the game to me (about a month after its release).
We played together almost everyday but he ended up quitting in midst of TH9 when xbows were just introduced (due to real life issues).
my friend showed me tbh.
I think I just randomly picked it.
Kemal litterally told me.
Im not kidding, I know him.
Am friends.
Showed me his village on his phone.
Believe me!!!!!!!
Three step process for me:
1. Good commercial, amusing.
2. Admitted to hospital over the flu.
3. Bored to tears, downloaded and began to clash lol
I was playing another app where you received "coins" for watching ads for other games. I saw an ad for clash of clans back in the summer of 2012. It looked like an RTS style game so i downloaded it, the rest is history.
Peer pressure. Then, I was able to acquire it through trickery, lies, espionage, top secret gadgets, password cracking equipment, and a mom. Hallelujah!
Friends and the App Store.
I saw it on the App Store around May or June. I started playing it and I thought it was cool, but it was hard adapting to a new kind of strategy game like it. I almost deleted it, but it was too addicting and I just kept playing it.
While playing subway surfers (quit the game right after I started playing clash)
See, Supercell?

Stop wasting money in advertising, and start investing in the game, keep updating the game, fix the bugs, improve the gameplay... Because that's what put this game on the TOP, not ads.
My dad got it, and it got it, and I liked it, and I played it.
A friend of mine wouldn't let me in peace until I downloaded it.
I read an article about it on MSN or AOL, when it was overtaking Candy Crush as the top grossing app. I had played Candy Crush but got bored with it quick so i figured I'd check Clash out. That was in August or early September.
Saw my swim coach playing it and decided to check it out.
I actually found clash in an Ad. It was one of the only Ads that caught my interest.
