Boost builders?

I don't know if this has been stickied or not, but I have an idea about boosting builders. I know you can just use gems if you want your current project instantly done, but I was thinking you could spend an amount of gems on your builder's huts and have them boost for a few weeks. To speed things up. Lemme know what ya think.

All sorts of building boosting / builders cooperating is ruled out. Would cut SCs revenue and frankly be quite OP, especially if you can boost for weeks, like you suggest. Not going to happen, sorry,

No... Stacking and upgrading builders is ruled out, not boosting them.

This has been brought up before and I like the idea of boosting the builders "build" speed but I just don't see it happening anytime soon. Just wait out the build time. Makes the game last longer and gives you something to look forward to.

I might have chosen my wording poorly, but this one is from the ruled out list:

*Upgradeable builders’ huts – lvl 2 huts for a 5% time decrease?

that's essentially the same thing. I realize what he's asking for is not permanent, but since you can already choose to finish an upgrade with gems, I am quite sure SC would have introduced this already if they thought it was a good idea.

Boosting builders or the lab isn't practical. Generally when people talk about this they say something like, "Oh hey for 25 gems I should be able to boost a builder for 4x speed for 4 hours." They do this without stopping to think what that means. In this example, a person would be gaining 12 additional hours of builder time for 25 gems. If you were to use gems to finish a build with 12 hours remaining it would cost 134 gems. This is simply too large of a discount.

The basic issue here is that boosts that didn't provide a gigantic discount would not be palatable for players.

For example, a more fair boost would be 100 gems for 4x speed 4 hours. However if used multiple times on a multi day build, it's a really ♥♥♥♥ deal and you'd be far better off saving the gems and using them all at once to finish the build.

What if you were to boost about 2X for a week or so? For maybe 100 gems. And then the discount is based on the time the project takes to finish.

So you want one week's worth of build time for 100 gems instead of the 1000 gems a week normally costs? A mere 90% discount. I'm sure SC is going to get right on it.
