Drags are best cuz not all defences can reach them they have good health and good hit points
Archers are best! Yes, wizards are strong and do splash damage but they are slow. Archers can spam easily and wipe them out. Dragons are good for defense but again they are slow and can be killed by surrounding it with archers.

The question should be: whats your 'favorite' troop. Not whats the 'best'. All troops are good in different situations.
The best troop according to SC is PEKKA as indicated by cost and training time.
