Accidental gem upgrade

(I had 1100+ gems, and was saving up for a 5th builder) I was just checking how much i needed to upgrade my barbarian king to lvl 7 when I accidentally gemmed him for over 800+ gems, when I clicked cancel for atleast 50% of my purchase back I was happy with getting 400+ gems back but only ended up getting 8k dark elixer from what I originally had. Supercell anyway you can help me out? Really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bout this, like if you spend gems and want to cancel it atleast give us the 50% of our gems back not resources...

True but they should at least fix this problem

That kind of thing happens a lot to all of us, just accept it

I accidentally bought a week shield one time and emailed them about it. Got a response the next day saying they would be able to add them back just the one time but then they never did. I would've preferred they just told me no then lied to me.

Nothing you can do about this, but what if someone had 8 million elixir and earned it all legit then upgraded something, cancelled the upgrade and then got gems. I don't think this will work...

Supercell does not replace gems even when it is their fault they are lost. Boosted barracks and game crashes for an hour or two? Your bad. However call apple and tell them supercell has no customer service and let then know what happened. Apple always refunds the money. Always.

edited to add: this only works if you paid money for your gems. If not then you are up tihs creek with out a paddle.

Someone made a poll/suggestion about a confirmation box before using gems to prevent this kind of accident. If you have not seen it yet, I suggest you check it out. :)
