This doesn't affect me, but I'm curious. Does increasing cost of hogs count as a nerf? Personally I feel it doesn't because we can gem the DE when it runs out.

Yes, but not as many players are willing to gem.
It didn't bother me, they are still my fave troop. I think the best thing for hogs would be to make them a 5 minute build time though. Would even things out a bit with them. Price doesn't bother me in the least though.
I can gem DE when needed, as I push once in a while. I guess it affects people who stay up there.
Gem DE? What is this madness...
It makes them much less appealing to use if they cost a considerable amount more in DE.
I don't expect it to bother trophy pushers one bit, trophy pushers tend to pay whatever it takes.
It should, in theory though reduce it's numbers in lower leagues. They were already quite pricey to farm with previously, now even worse.
I used to add a modest 6 of them to my barch army to use if necessary - also pushed train time down, however I no longer do that. Now add a few minions to my barch. I won't quite call it BAM as it's still predominately a barb/arch army.
What's a nerf?
Until the price becomes at very least, 200 de per hog, there won't be nerf for hogs.
I am terrible with hogs. I have tried them three or four times and I fail miserably. Maybe I need to upgrade them to level two...
Yes I believe it was a nerf.
I don't like it now. I used hogs a lot now I don't!
Yes and no for various reasons.
Hogs have, in my opinion, definitely be nerfed enough. Looking at players in Champions league, only a handful still use them. The times when they were a passport to Champ has long passed and those that continue to attack with them vs TH10s are highly skilled at their art. They will continue to terrorise TH9s who don't deploy anti-hog defences though the price increase might put a few people off using them
Of course it's a nerf. Making hogs more expensive means it's harder to turn a profit and hence the player base as a whole is less likely to use them.
Gemming resources..? The horror!
It was a nerf!
