I have been struggling to maintain cup counts above 3400. It seems like I can only find 2-9 trophies most times and when I log off I'm nailed from 11-19 constantly. What is the deal above 3400? I don't have this issue below 3400, and these are not revenges. How are people hitting me for this cup count and I never see this? Anyone up here have insight?
You have to attack several times each time you log on and I'd also recommend searching longer.30+ targets are there.
I'm at 3700 and I've basically hit an unbreakable (for my virtually non-existant budget) wall. The higher you go, the more volatile the cup offers get. In most farming ranges, and even up into low master you see only 13-34 (roughly) cup raids. Then the bottom drops out after you hit champ and you see mostly 1-3 cup raids, BUT you also have the possibility of getting massive 50+ cup offers. Just a few days ago I got a base worth 56 CUPS (-2 if I would have lost lol) just from normal matchmaking.
Luck and time of day become big factors. If you can find even 2 of those monster raids in a session, you're fine. One and you're about breakeven from my experience. At 3400 you might not be being selective enough? Don't settle for anything less than 15 or so (offered, not won. this should be LOW END) around there would be my advice, then slowly drop that number as you go up. By now, I'll hit anything worth 9. It's a really really tough grind though after decent cups get hard to find. :(
Edit: And the defensive losses only gets worse too. The higher you go, the more people there are beneath you and the fewer there are above you. If you can find those huge 55 cup raids, odds are at some point you are gonna be the vicitim of it too.

I'd say people who use GoWiWi or something, or have max heroes, could probably go a little bit higher before hitting a wall.
