My Prediction

Let it be heard. My prediction is Clan Wars. I don't know how Supercell is going to do it, but here is the basis on my prediction.
1. In many interviews Supercell has said it is there number 1 priority.
2. This update has taken extra long. Almost two months.
3. In a recent video Daddy got telephoned to go with other huge youtubers such as Godson, Pat, and Simon Tay to a big meet-up. In prior meet-ups android and dark elixer have been announced.
Those are the facts, that's my prediction.

There's a good chance of Clan Wars but it could just be them piling SO many small tweaks the update is taking forever.

In all honesty, I don't want clan wars in this game.

SC would have to pull a minor miracle to implement Clan Wars and have it actually impress me.

They said they are working on it, but it can't be done so soon. I doubt it will be in next update, so I'm really looking forwards to what this update will hold. I would like Clan Wars, but don't get your hopes up so much.

lets be honest, we haven't seen any inventive or creative updates, certainly not in recent memory.

I play a different game that already has clan wars, and they give a small update every week that would be equal to a main update in sc. they add a feature to troops/building. (like a freeze chance to mortars, if you so choose).

they also have weekly events, which vary and I think are decently creative. nothing like that around here.

What sort of player base does this game have? That right there should tell you how successful it actually is. Does it sit anywhere near the top of google play or the App Store?

so let's be honest this game sounds like it really isn't all that. It's a good thing SC doesn't kowtow to its vocal base as that would mean I would get loot for just wishing it and every defense would be a success. There would also be hundreds of different troops and utter chaos and complexity to the game.

I actually was wondering myself how coc has stayed at the top of the charts. I think because it was around a full year before any other games of its kind came even close to being as good. and it was fun during that year. but I think the game has been in decline as of late.

also it helps when you have "tricks" such as the time lag bug to swindle money out of people.

The first game of its type, best quality of the bunch, major advertising and a gamer's loyalty/habit to a game they play often. I too, play another variation and now enjoy it more than coc. The long wait time for an update does not matter to myself, it is the lack of attention and proper reactions to many large issues in this game. As an almost maxed th 10, I now go on for a couple raids a day, max. CoC may have the largest player base, but it will only be so long until we all move on.

The gem increase is debatable. There's now a chance of making 0 from bushes also. At least you had to make 1-3 before...

There had always been a chance to get 0 gems from obstacles, even pre update. Unless u are talking specifically about bushes then i don't know cause i don't track bushes.

Nevertheless, my gem per week from obstacles has increased noticeably.

If that's your opinion then i have no idea what is considered as a big and significant update.

Are you trying to say that since the day CoC was released, the only "big" updates are DE, Leagues, and Heroes?

In a way it's good that the updates are minor and fairly spread out.

It gives us farmers a chance to catch up and then keep up with the gemmers. Excluding Heroes, which happen slower, and of course Walls, which will never happen.

I kind of know what you're saying. If Supercell started developing the game at the speed we see new updates/content then it would never have happened.

Although in their defence it's a lot harder adding content to a game with millions of active players and keeping the balance.

no, theres "big" updates and theres "regular" updates.

hero abilities are somewhat less than "regular" updates. a regular update is something like inferno towers or x bows etc.

big updates are things like the loot change .(whether you like it or not, its big). a new town hall, the whole idea of heroes and de amongst others.

a non-update is something like increased gems from obstacles, or 1 gem boosts or gems to boost heroes healing.

just pointing out the facts. I gave up farming walls and heroes, though I understand many have now had the chance to catch up in these.

Dayem! Another long wait. :( does this mean their will be no Easter update? If so, double dam! I was looking forward to having an Easter egg bomb :(

Was hoping the update would come out about 3 weeks before Easter like the other holiday updates.... Guess u can't win em all.... And I'll just have to live with the wait. Hope it's gonna be good!

To be honest, pretty much, yep. All other updates, in my opinion are tweaks or interface improvements. My definition of a big update is a game changing addition such as adding a new resource and heroes update. I guess SC definition of a big update is the another platform being added. Wow, that was game changer, not.

I think SC needs to listen to the feedback that is freely given to them via this forum. In other words increase resource generation (or fix the loot/next problem), introduce daily quest/rewards, new solo missions, clan wars and more game variation/tactics.

I know you can not please everyone, but surely trying to please a large majority of faithful players in this forum with the above list would definitely win people back. At the minute I believe SC has turned their back on this forum due to the recent criticism they are getting.

Now that the supercell team has just finished updating the forums, should we expect an update sometime soon? I would love to get rid of all the trees I have been saving for the gem boxes! Has anyone seen any of the supercell employes make a post about an update or anything?

With updates are getting less and less frequent it wouldn't surprise surprise me if they push it till mid April.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but i believe gem boxes will appear as does vegetation. So removing the vegetation would increase your chances of recieving one.

Clan wars will be introduced in 2014, however this is a major addition and SC are developing and test running it for bugs etc. Be patient :)

Update? - Clans Wars evidence

With an imminent update and meet-up I like all you clashers am overwhelmed with anticipation.. Ive rediscovered this quote from Marika around 2 months ago.
Also cast our minds back to last April (if you werent playing then, this was the introduction of the leagues and the golem)
This leads me to think that we could potentially (PLEASEE!!) be Clan wars? and a sixth dark troop? :D

Boom Beach has an update coming very soon due to sneak peaks of the 3D renders and reveal of languages so I think the release of Boom Beach global will come first.. also im fairly sure its not the big thing that marika was suggesting as mentioned, they have different teams for different games

"BIG" is a phrase often used in updates, the last one was "BIG" was it not?

So the hero powers were a nice addition, but "BIG" meh...

i understand that, what is it for though as surely daddy is just a player. its not like he works for SC or a game developer and just a volunteer mod (a great video maker too (Y)

They love hyping their updates. I wouldn't read too far into it, too many people set their expectations too high and end up disappointed.

With all of these high expectations SC are making for themselves, they will lose a lot of players, if they do not meet these standards. Myself included; still a few weeks to go, calm down on the update speculation. Hope for a lot, expect a simple defence upgrade.

Not to mention most players can't get some of these new features.

They have given many players plenty of time to catch up to end game, excluding walls and heroes. Personally, I gave up with about 20 upgrades left. The fun seems to be lost when you mix hard to obtain loot with 6+ million upgrades.
