Firstly, I'd like to start this by saying a huge thank you to Adamantan for creating a Training School Clan called LOONATIX for fans of the Balloon / Minion Army (see here). It was a pleasure spending the week prior to Forum Elite learning how to get the most out of this army. Special thanks goes to Zach, Mordehai, El Mariachi, Soflov and the other high trophy players that stopped by.

My aim with this thread is to upload and share high level Balloon / Minion attacks to try and share a few of the tips and tricks I learnt during the bootcamp :) Feel free to reply with your own as well.

Each video will comprise of 4 attacks played back at x2 to keep a decent pace, just rewind if things go too quick. Hopefully after watching a few you will start to see a pattern of what types of bases to attack, how to disarm (kill Heroes / CC), how to cripple (quickly taking out Air Defences / Archer Towers etc) then cleaning up with your trusty minions. My aim is to assist and possibly inspire during your Trophy pushes. I've already far exceeded my goals and enjoying this new challenge in-game.

Regarding the army, it varies slightly depending on what is built or donated however given the choice I always built to the following:

This strategy can be used for both high level farming and high level trophy pushing and should not be overlooked. It can also be far cheaper than other high level troop compositions.

I would suggest so, yes. Barch for the early elixer upgrades. If you're in an extreme hurry to farm the lix, you might want to go with hogs if you don't mind the DE drain. I had a terrible time farming elixer by the way. You might want to check out the advice I received here.

Though judging by your GG you're a very solid farmer, so this might not apply to you. Just be warned ;).

Yes, i've been barching around crystal 3 and loot is sporradic. At times it'll be great and others not so much. A big benefit is, while searching, if I ever come across an exposed th i'll snipe it for the loot bonus which pays for 21 more nexts and a small amount of profit in de and elix. Unfortunately, I can't use hogs because they are only level 3 atm. Once I finish the elix upgrades, what range should I go to in order to farm with loons? Thanks for the advice btw.

Yeah, the guy is nuts :D Very good!

While I am fairly happy and comfortable with my style it's only safe for 1 star victories. His style is incredible in the way he generates 1 stars while pushing and achieving the second star.

I only have level 1 Freeze spell, and lower heroes, which makes me reluctant to try his methods.

Great raids by the way, you make it look too easy. Looking forward to my push into Champs one day.

True, but it's more economical and faster to build which gets you out searching quicker (half the battle in Champs League). You should not run out of resources using this strategy, and trust me there is very little loot on offer as you can see in the videos.

whats a good clan to join that can help me with the balloon strats? im lvl 101 and have been using balloons and minions for about a month or so. im getting better with them but know if i can get with some of the more skilled players id get a hell of a lot better.

I used the strategy before it became as popular as it is today (:cool: i know so hipster) but i don't like using heal spells for two reasons
1. Rage is used mainly for speed, and high level air defense doesn't allow for max optimization because of all the damage
2. i don't have 5 spell factory spaces

As a TH9 I'd probably say stick to all Rage.

Heal spells work really well though (away from Multi-Infernos), are quicker to build, and also cheaper than Rage.

I've updated the OP with a few more raids I found on my computer before dropping cups.

LOONATIX ballooning camp has reopened and can help with strategies and replays. When you join, say you are from the forums or have balloons in your army camp.

I'd like to join loonatix to advance my strats using this awesome army composition. I only meet 1 of the 4 requirements though (33k+ donations, only lvl 94, heroes combined lvl 6, 90% walls are lvl 7). Can I still join?

Loons for the win!

Thanks for this great thread man. I've been using loons and minions for a while but have got stuck trying to push into master with it. I think u hit some points that could be help. If they don't I'll be stopping by loonatix for the boot camp lol. Great stuff
