New troop idea: The General
So here is my idea for a new troop called the General. This person would be able to command units in battle. As long as this unit is alive on the field, you'll be able to designate what building your units attack. Should he die, your units will go back to their default behavior. You would control your units by simply clicking on a building, and all units in range of the general will attack that building.
Now I know what your thinking, "This would be WAY overpowered!!" Well, here are a few ideas to keep it balanced.
1) Range. The General will only have a short range. Any units outside of this range won't hear the command and will just attack as normal. A unit that was inside this range and then moves out of range will still follow the initial command, but won't follow any future commands unless the general moves into range again.
2) Slow movement speed. So most units will only get one, maybe 2 commands out of him before they have run across the battlefiled.
3) High cost/troop capacity/training time. I don't know what good numbers would be, but make it high enough and it'll stay balanced.
4) low HP. So if he comes under fire, he can be taken out pretty quick.
5) Only one allowed at a time? Not sure about this one, but it might be a good idea to only allow 1 to be trained. That way if your careless with your general, you don't get a second chance. It would require good strategy to keep him safe throughout the battle.
Upgrades to the general would increase his range. What do you guys think?
