This sums it up. Many try to make sense of very specific shifting loot ranges or changing language to switch servers (which is utter nonsense). Two people can experience very different loot at the same range at the same time in the same timezone. I will say there are times when players as a whole seem to experience slightly better loot (excluding boost events, which cause obvious loot increase). But the ranges we mention are generally only depended on townhall level and farming strategy. In the end it just boils down to chance heavily influenced by volume. There will be hours and days of great loot and vice verca.
The reason why some people will continue to rake is millions is because they take a longterm view. They offset variance by volume, as you would do with games of chance. If you're the type of log-in/log-off player like yours truly (with some exceptions when I have time), you had best take the same longterm view but adjust your expectations. If you're expecting to find great loot every time you log on, you'll be dissapointed.
Personally I have found solace in the following:
- Give up on having all builders working at all times. Once you allow yourself this, the game becomes more enjoyable and less of a job.
- Enjoy the good loot sessions, stop when it's bad. When I find myself nexting too often and/or messing up raids, I just quit. No need to lose my head over it. I'll pick it up later on and feel great if I have a couple terrific raids in a row.
- Cup hunt more often. A great break from the frustration and repetitiveness of farming.
Good luck OP!
