Reinstating of Elder Powers

Hey all,

I am an elder in my clan and have been for over a year and a half. I went inactive for about two months though because life got crazy as I had to move. Upon my return, I discovered they had finally added the co-leader rank. Unfortunately, I would've been first choice for promotion but due to my recent inactivity I kinda "missed the boat" so to speak, but hopefully will get it soon....

Anyways, after a few days I began to realize that, as an elder, I no longer have the option to promote or kick regular members. I discussed this with the clan leaders who agreed that it was silly for them to be removed. It seems that Elder now is just a matter of status with no purpose. So I decided to come on here and see if anyone else posted a thread related to this, but finding nothing I decided to create my own. If you're an elder and are not having this issue, please tell me, but if not please consider my idea.

Its quite simple really, just follow the hierarchy: Leader > Coleader > Elder > Member. Each rank should have promotion and kicking power over all of the ranks below them on the food chain. This is important because, assuming there are only a few leaders/coleaders, there most likely won't always be leaders/coleaders on to keep an eye on the clan. Elders should be given power over regular members (and only regular members) so that they can watch the clan in the leader's absence. It only makes sense, and its much better than leaving Elder as a pointless rank.

Anyways, if you agree please say so so we can draw supercell's attention to this thread. If you disagree, I would love to kindly hear why. Also, if you're an elder and are not having this problem, please say so as well.

Elders can kick out regular members.

Well, I just checked again to make sure, and I am an elder in my clan and am no longer able to kick out regular members. I think they might've changed it in the most recent update.

Elders can kick members.

Hey there!

Not sure why you're having this problem, because I can kick normal members as elder (and I assume that is how the role works, basically accepting or kicking normal members). Check again :)

I just checked again and had the clan leader demote and re-promote me just to make sure that didn't make a difference. I still have no power over regular members.

Thank you all for replying. It seems the problem I'm having is unique I suppose, but it definitely is a real problem, I have checked many different times. I guess I should contact supercell support or maybe report it as a bug?

Now this is super odd, I haven't heard of similar problems before. As a last resort try to leave and re enter the clan and have them re-promote you. If that doesn't work I think something is seriously bugged.

Im not sure but maybe elders can just kick the members that are new (with the red "new" under their name). But Im not sure since im not elder.;)
