The forums happened to the loot. There's more people playing the game and more people teaching people how to barch and bam. We pretty much created a monster.

it would be easier to farm in Crystal and below. In Master and Champion, everyone would spend all their resources to fight for trophies. I don't see how the "loot" system would work anymore since there isn't anything left to steal...No big surprise that top players have to spend a ridicilous amout of money to be on top. Good players that spend no money won't be on the top for sure...at least to my knowledge
