The thing about CoC is that is runs even on weaker devices. I've got an HTC One V with 500Mb of RAM...there are many games that I cannot run on it (Tap Sonic, for instance), but CoC runs very very smoothly.

I hate to break it to you but technology wont stop improving just because you dont want to spend money

Don't be an idiot, this has nothing to do with technology...it is about making the game accessible to as many players as possible. If there are ever any major additions like this, they should be gameplay related, not just for the eye candy.
I doubt SC would want to limit their flagship game to less devices just because some of you guys want more sparkles.

And it is not just about the accessibility...CoC has a very clean and polished look. It has just the right amount of everything. Adding more random villagers would just mess up everything.

this idea is good your the only one who disagrees. The graphics of the game will eventualy be improved regardless of what your feelings on the subject are (If not by this idea then another one) dont take it out on this post.

As technology improves supercell will be less and less limited as to what they can put in the game. Yelling at random people on Internet forums wont change the fact your phone is obsolete. Apple, android and other companies will continue to build better devises then supercell will upgrade clash of clans for the new technology as most people will have set their old devise aside for the new faster one. Having the game available to all devices would result in the majority of players with better technology switching to other games with more "sparkles" due to clash of clans outdated look. Supercell will likely pick quality and move to new devises to hold on to the players with the most money to spend and leave behind the minority who don't upgrade.

Supercell needs to make a profit to continue operating. Moving with the new technology will allow them to keep the game above the standards of the other similar games. We can see from the poll that the majority of people want the eye candy not the same old look so that a couple of people with old devises can avoid spending money on the technology that the rest use. A game like clash of clans needs to focus on quality as they have many competitors, players will use the best game they can get so if supercell places them self at the bottom of the pile to remain accessible to everyone the only the people who will stay will be the few with old devises.

First of all, an idea that gets a lot of support is not necessarily good. Just look at the Capcom Unity Board and the number of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ed ideas that get support over there. "I can't press two buttons at the same time, please make a bind function for the throw!"
Secondly, look at you, talking on behalf of SC. How do you know they want to move to stronger devices? Is it maybe because you want them to? Vita is a lot stronger than 3DS and PSP was stronger than DS...and where do you find better games, you tell me. Again, this is not about my phone, it is about the accessibility of the game.

Also, I think your post contradicts itself. You say that SC will move towards quality, but then you say that they will include more sparkles. Sparkles are not quality. And your statement that CoC has "outdated look" says enough of your credibility.

Firstly I'm not claiming to represent supercell if you actualy read my post you will see i just suggested what would likely be most profitable for them
secondly did you not notice the inverted commas around the word "sparkles"
third i did not say that clash of clans has an outdated look i said its look will become outdated with time if it is not improved
Also im not saying they will move clash of clans to another platform im saying they will continue to improve clash of clans to fit the new ios/android devises that are released
You appear to have pulled all those points out of thin air as you dont apear to have actualy read my post properly. Better graphics provide an improved gaming experience. Also your claiming supercell should focus on design and beautiful art. That is exactly what 001rens001 is suggesting, Adding detail and personality to your villagers would be purely about artwork and design. To be honest it seems like your just trying to put peoples ideas down before even giving them proper consideration.
