Meh! your logic is sound but in reality its all pointless, he is one of the lucky few who is getting out whilst he still enjoyed the game.


Trophy Hunting for a farmer is fun until you hit the ceiling where its either drop and Farm or Gem a little.

Lets ask the question...
"why do we Farm" - Back in the early days the reason for this, for me, was so that my base can be better equipped when I hunt Trophies.

Now, when I ask that question I honestly cannot find an answer that I find acceptable. The Answer is simply because I Do not wish to hunt Trophies.

You say there "different ways" to play this game, however there are only 4 that I can think off. And as you can see 4 is being generous.

1) Hunt Trophies
2) Farm
3) alternate between 1 & 2
4) Just chill empty Mines and Drills (asking yourself why) and Socialise with Clannies


When 1 and 2 are exhausted where do you go... And when you hit number 4 its generally just a matter of time.

Exactly. If you are not farming with the ultimate goal of going up the trophy range as high as you can, what's the point of gathering all the resources? And if someone is tired to farming and not interested in pushing, it's time to take a break.

Good points and nice to see you back.

I guess it's like anything in life, after a while you just hit the wall and then need a new direction. If a different direction cannot be found in-game then it should be pursued outside.

The majority of the people I speak with say this is by far the longest they have ever played one game, so yes, it should be commended for that, but it'll always come to an end, or slow down, eventually.

How are the level 10 walls coming along?

I buy maybe 1 or 2 a week sometimes more but that's a by-product of DE Hunting, AQ on her way to Lv 27 as I write and BK sat at Lv 20.

I loathe it, I know I should be higher, maybe in Masters but I struggle to maintain that count effectively... For anyone reading it... Don't ignore your heros like I did (and the OP did)

So I Barch up to 2400 (or as high as I can until I suffer an loss on attack) then Farm DE until im back down in 1800s.. Rinse & Repeat.

I can only focus on one Hero at a time. It annoys me (or more accurately annoys my OCD Side) that I cannot hold more than 200k DE hence I cannot co-ordinate my hero upgrades together. Hence my AQ is getting the love.

And "a taste of pushing"? If I left a maxed base with my TH protected for 7 days it would rise up to 2,500 without me doing anything.

I just don't get it. He's more than happy to build defence upgrades that take 14 days but he can't wait 4 days for his BK to reach level 9? He's clearly a very good player having farmed all of that base so you can't tell me he relys on level 8 Heroes every battle at those low trophy levels.

If I've enjoyed something for 15 months then I wouldn't just stop because there are no more defences to upgrade, seems a bit pathetic to me.

I'm merely trying to say this game has so many different sides to it and all should be tried and enjoyed (if you are a serious player for 15 months).

Yeah, I think it's a waste of a nice base as well. Hopefully he'll be back sometime in the future, when SC figures out some ways to integrate farming and trophy pushing better, or something more interesting is introduced. His base would be ready for him by then.

PS: I think by "waiting" he meant "regeneration time", which is quite hideous for higher level heroes.

I wonder if the OP tried pushing, that's the way to keep the game interesting until we get clan wars. A break from farming to push every 6 weeks is the way we do it in our clan as we get bored of farming pretty fast.

I am in the same shoes as the OP. My base is maxed, I play for about the same time as he, me walls are nearly as good as his and my heroes much better.

So I farmed as much as he did, for the same time. And now OP, I can tell you, I pushed to champion last trophy push with my clan, CoC was as exciting as in the beginning. So really, try pushing hard. It brings back so much fun like you had in the start.

I've been farming for over a year in hopes to one day trophy hunt and not worry about resources. I don't think I will ever quit. Ever. They will have to force me out. I may take long breaks, but not quit. If there was some kind of monthly fee then I would quit, but until then I will clash on!
