Idea for Fixing Farming and Trophies

The idea is simple at it's core. Basically, what I'm about to propose is giving people an incentive for gaining trophies.

What you do is give someone a bonus at the end of the season based on trophy count. Let's just make up some numbers.

People in champions will get resources x1000 of what their trophy count is every 2 weeks. Obviously DE would be different say x10.

M1 would be x900 x9
M2 x800 x8
M3 x700 x7
C1 x400 x 4
C2 x300 x3
C3 x200 x 2
G1 x100
G2 x80
G3 x60
S1 x40
S2 x30
S3 x20
B x10

Basically the higher in trophies you are the bigger the bonus.

So a guy with 3200 trophies gets 3.2m gold and elixir and 32000 de every season. And someone in gold 1 gets 180,000 gold and elixir only.

What do you guys think?

EDIT: Also another idea I had came from playing poker. Have a "rake back" type system. Where at the end of a season people get 10% gold back from all the nexts they press. It'd be a cool little cash back rather than just lowering the cost of nexts.

I understand where you're coming from.... but rather than introduce a completely new loot reward system I'd prefer if they just improved on the league loot bonuses that they already have right now :)

The idea is an incentivized bonus while keeping the other bonus. This isn't take out x for y. It's have x and y.

Free resources is free resources... Im not saying I wouldn't love it but it's is very very highly unlikely that something like this will happen. However, improving on the League bonus is something that is more practical and more likely to happen if we push SC for it since they actually do listen to what their players have to say. :)

Oh and btw if it's at the end of the season we could easily go down at the first day... farm the whole season at low trophy then 3 days before the end move up to masters or even champ. Which would not really be an incentive to stay at a higher trophy range.

This is true and I have thought about this, but it does have people pushing every 2 weeks. That's more than you would of done. Basically a mass server push for a bonus. Sure, it might not incentivize staying there, but I can't imagine people would want to push every two weeks and might just stick around higher up trying to get bigger bonuses the next season.

This would be so over-powered, someone could go up as high as they could in champ buy into shields, and put the th outside and glide down back to gold. They would get tons of free loot without doing anything.

I see what you mean....but shouldn't higher level play be rewarded with higher loot? Does it make basic sense to you that the best way to increase your base is to hang in low trophy ranges and pick on the weak? I do it too, not judging. Just saying it is broken.

An ideal game would have your loot continually progress as you move up. So there is an incentive to upgrade your town hall, gain new toys, and unlock higher levels of loot to upgrade your new toys....

Edit: Sort of like Clash of clans from TH1-TH7. Perfect progression and beginning to the game. It gets murky after that....

Exactly, boosting activity would help SC. Premature th10's would be helped which is a good thing for SC. People would want to be higher for a bonus: good for the game. More loot in the system also good for the game.

I see no downside other than the obligatory "SC won't do it."

Right not only that and its a decent bonus but its not THAT incredible to spend a week or two getting up there for a few million, people farm 5-10 million a day.

Anyways i do think this is a good idea because it will make you want to gain trophies, the incentive is the loot, but while you are up there you aren't going to want to go back down knowing that you will have to go back up in a couple of days or a week. I think people would just continually push if this was implemented or just ignore it completely.

You misunderstood me, they would push into champion and go inactive coming on occasionally to collect, they could do this for an extended period of time getting free resources without even having to raid. Granted anyone who could push into champion probably has a base that needs more expensive upgrades.

While "SC won't do it" isn't a good reason not have the bonus, I think it still holds some merit. SC doesn't, like most companies, have a very good track record of implementing community driven ideas. This isn't to say that it's a waste of time posting suggestions, just that it may be not taken as seriously.

I acknowledge it might not be a high enough incentive, but that's why i decided on the de bonus. The main idea is trying to raise peoples trophy counts and keep them wanting to stay up there.

This is a fair point. People going inactive higher up, but i think there would be more competition higher up, and make it hard without some raiding.
Plus, it is only every two weeks. Nothing to become inactive for.

Yes, I want SC to realize that the only incentive to go up is to look cool and say you are. Sure, there's the attack bonus, but it feels weak at best. Considering, being up high seems to have more downside than upside. It just feels wrong.

I guess people don't like the idea of changing it up a bit. Cheers guys. This wasn't exclusive to my idea. People could state their way to incentivize higher trophies.

Very nice post and I really like the idea very much, except for one thing.. It doesn't really award active playing.

For instance an active player in champion and an inactive player just riding shields in champion would get the same bonus, so once up there not much idea to really fight for it anymore.

Definetly some more reward is needed especially in top play, but could be done (as others mentioned too) in the existing league system... Really master 1 and champion league bonusses need a huge buff.

I understand your concern. Yes, it could cause people to go more inactive, but realistically it's not enough of a boost for someone to wait for. It's not like you'd get to champion and stay inactive for just 3.2m. It would give the real people in champions consistently more people to attack as well.

The existing system is broken. This idea has many layers to what it might do. People on this forum claim they push once every 3-4 months. That's broken. And this would be a reason for people to push more frequently. Creating more loot from attack bonuses as well as a influx at the end of the season.
