I was never used to complain, but now....

3 month ago, I was th8 and can build 5/6 skull wall a day, playing only on the evening. It means 3 millions gold/evening :)

Know Im th10, and yes I Know, the loot is a lot worse, but...

My problem is, I have to skip 60/70x to find bases with more than 100k gold to steal.... Even when I find full mines, the loot is most of the time 30/40k gold...

Just to give an example : I just finish 10 minutes ago a 2h barrkaks boost + spell factory, and I made... 1,1 Million Gold...


But My real problem is : My clan Chief ( Fred, clan Les Liegeois* ), is playing with exactly the same trop I play ( barb/arch/wb ), but he's doing amazing, more than 3/4 millions a day, playing only on the evening... So we are both playing exactly the same way ( same th10, same troops, same time of day )

2 month ago, I Had 50 million gold more in the gold rush achievement, but now, 2 month later, and playing almost the sime time both of us, he has 43 millions gold more than me ! ( sorry for My awfull english, I'm Belgian :))


So, can someone explain what is happening ? I Know that you can hâve good days ans bad days, but since 2 month, our loot is radically différent.... He made 80 millions more gold than I, doing exactly the same game...

If someone has any idea ?

Îm not really complaining about the loot... But why, playing exactly the same way, Is the loot so amazingly différent between us ? :)

Bad luck? Other than that, I have no insight into the working of the search queue. Assuming you get thrown in the same random search queue, must just be probability involved that will likely swing back your way at some point. Just hang in there!

Hardly makes a difference if a clanmate with the same set up in the same trophy league manages to score way better loot.

Know how you feel. Have the same thing going on where no matter what loot I find my clanmate is scoring better then me. It is like he walks in front of me and finds all the bills leaving the coins for me. We are usually on at the same time and mostly within 50 cups of each other. Still somehow he keeps sharing fat replays that make my raids pale in comparison. One thing we have discovered is his patience of clicking next more then me. I tend to settle to the first decent raid while he goes the extra mile to reach a jackpot. With our loot comparison he can click next easily 100+ times more and still he is more profitable, but I simply lack the patience for that long next session. To each their own style. I click next max 25 times, he clicks next maybe 125 times.

Im a TH9 and im in the 1400 trophy range and im having no problems at all with the loot, honestly, I think some people are making it up for attention. Im not and nor have I ever had any problems with anything to do with loot.

town hall 9 and 10 are very different...

I play one TH10 account at 2,800 and there is loads of gold. At that level lots of folk have done the basic upgrades so the next upgrades cost them say 4-8 m. That means there is a lot sitting in their storages! I get 200k of gold per battle and also a great loot bonus.

keep trying and maybe go on a trophy push if ur not into farming

If you want the great loot every few clicks, then head up to where a TH10 belongs :)

When farming in masters, you can rake in a very decent amount of gold, on top of that the loot bonus, and on top of that the fact you only needed to click next 1-10 ( maybe more :P ) times, saving you in the long run a considerable amount of gold.

People just have bad luck sometimes. Realistically a bad 2 hour span is innately possible.

I'd like to see someone who says they get bad loot to show 100's of hours of data. That would be a better sample size.

Just to answer a question, we are both of us playing in the goldII league, searching most of the time easy mones ( abandoned base, full collectons... )( 1600/1800 tr ). Yes I Know, it´s a bit low now for a th10 ;-)

But, as I say, the problem is... I don't Know why My clan mate, doing exactly the same things I do, simply get twice the loot. I got...

So, I think no one has a proper explaination... But I think the mechanic of the game is far more complex than just a totally random search on bases... It´s clearly impossible that the difference between us is so wide, days after days, during month...

And just to clear some points, he is the only Guy in My clan doing so well... Everyone doing like us is doing just not bad, like me.. :)

He must be in a f....ing good hell of a luck for month I think, no... ? ;)

it all depends on the time you are on and your trophie range, i had the most terrible luck it costed me 150k to find a 100k base yesterday and that just sucks. today the loot is great on the other hand. all i did was go 50 cups higher and wait...

He's probably hitting next more than you. He might be showing more in the gold grab, but what's his net gain?

Ya might want to test various trophy ranges. You may be farming in arrange that is not suitable for you. Also finding collectors full but only being able to steal 40k is because of loot penalty. Due to this I am guessing your trophy range is too low. Is that right? If not, try something over 2000 trophies. (p.s. I'm not an expert)

Maybe your leader is taking all the loot and leaving none for you😛

That has absolutely nothing to do with it. I am running between silver one and crystal 1 and having the same problem. Do you even read the forums? We have thousands upon thousands of people having that trouble in every trophy range.

I´m a TH9 farming in Gold3 and ive been getting great loot for a long time now, mostly 200k off each but i got one with 525k each last week, and im not skipping to much, maybe 20-30 times, and i feel like thats what ive always done.

I am having the same problem, been farming from 1600 to 2600. I have found very little loot since December. Yes you can find more loot higher up, but you need to use a stronger army with more spells. So like most farmers, it is not a solution. I am interested in getting as much gold per hour as I can. Not playing this GAME for 6 hours at a time.

SC is not listening to its long term players. Instead they are just removing us from the search queue when we quit.

you should stayed in th9 for a while longer.

assuming that you go for th9 with everything maxed out in th8, you need almost 4 months with 5 builders (including some levels in heroes) to max th9.

th10 is hard since you cant loot the majoritie of th8's.

Which means a small amount of players simply aren't affected by the new rules of loot, just no penality ( as My clan mate just post a 304kGold/389k elixir dropped from a th8, 19 minutes ago... is this just possible, th10 drop poing that much from a th8 ?! )...

kind of same to me ! , it has been rlly good for me like a week ago ! , i was able to find a fair loot like every 20 searches , but lately i need to search for more than 10 minutes sometimes ! i know it sucks -_- , getting so boring , doing nothing but nexting for 10 minutes every 30-40 minutes -_-
( today is kind of better than yesterday tho , but still not better than how it was before )

The answer to this dilemma is quite simply down to base selection.


(For example)
he may choose simple raids of 100K from a dead base where you might go for a difficult 200K and only get a small portion of it.

Everyone has times where they feel like they are bashing their heads against the wall and struggling to break even, but loot hasn’t been anywhere near as bad as is being made out, and certainly not for prolonged periods.

It seems like a lot of people feel entitled to never-ending collector raids with tier one troops and that is just sad. We are being encouraged to plan proper raids rather than churning out millions an hour sniping collectors. Where on earth is the fun in that anyway?

One thing I have noticed is that if I drop 100 cups I suddenly see TH7’s and TH8’s that I have to skip, so the actual ranges where it is profitable fluctuate all the time and are quite trophy sensitive. It can be infuriating being stuck in a rubbish range, but there is a lot of truth in the suggestion of moving up and down leagues.

Forget the conspiracy theories and ignore the professional moaners, suck it up and improve your game.

Attack when my 20 minute build is ready and I have set the next one cooking, fill donation requests then do something else until my next one is ready.

I don't boost or attack the second my army is ready, and a couple to five minutes, 3 or 4 times an hour throughout the day is pretty leisurely in my opinion.

It certainly did.

I started two max archer towers and almost have enough for another. I started my AQ upgrading on Friday night and have over 80K DE sitting in my storage.

It wasn't even non stop, if I felt nexting was getting a bit much I started cooking dragons for donations, but most of the time I was hitting high 200K upwards per battle. I did boost my spell factory a couple of times when the going was good. I also did a few balloon minion attacks when I felt like it.

The hysteria surrounding loot is just that, hysteria. Maybe it is a bit less abundant at the moment, but it isn't that bad if you know what you are doing.

those inferno are awesome, but i prefer to max my th9 before rushing to th10, because i know from my clan mates that th10 is much harder to loot, and i want to work also in my walls while im th9. well only 2 more months in th9 :)

that 304k gold from a th8 is rare but possible. that th8 should have all level 11 collectors full and storages also with a good ammount.

No bragging whatsoever. What is there to brag about, finding decent loot? You aren't sympathising in the slightest, you are indulging heavily in the general craze of wallowing in self pity.

I will explain again, I am putting my experience over the weekend up for public consumption. I don't think that finding decent targets in a random matchup generator makes me special, though apparently you put a lot of stock into it.

Forgive me for doing what little I can to snap this ludicrous and over the top vicious cycle of abuse, derision and depression directed at a game I thoroughly enjoy. My stand has always been like this: if a large of number of people saying the loot is bad for them, it very likely is. The problem exists, and that's a fact. SC should introduce more resources to the system.

I am not trying to start a fight here so no "retaliation" is needed. I just struggle to believe that you're actually making this much. What trophy range are you in? How much are you playing per day?

Crystal 2, and I played on and off throughout the day. It is no big deal to pick the iPad or phone up three or four times an hour for a few minutes at a time.

As I said before, I slipped down to crystal 3 for an hour or so, and it seemed that there was a world of difference. My searching was being clogged up with TH8's and TH7's so I pushed up again.

I had steeled myself for a hard weekend, as I had admitted previously that the weekend before was very hard work with little joy, so I was pleasantly surprised. There were a few hours here or there where it became hard work and I just cooked some dragons and tested the water later.

I was using giants, wb's, archers and goblins (with a rage) and was taking on most bases that had 200k plus on offer.

The only fact is that a lot of people like a good moan, and you are indulging them.

A lot of the community got lazy with loads of collector raids. Now we have spells costing elixir, cheap boosting of spell factory, giants buffed twice and a reduction in the amount of inactive bases in the search queue. To my mind that is SuperCell pushing the game in a different direction to the slightly embarrassing situation of people being lionised for raiding collectors non stop and camping at TH9 to put up big numbers.

Sure at times the game has been excruciatingly slow for farmers, but I just see it as a challenge and something to overcome rather than something to cry about. Hitting the 'next' button is a price to pay for not spending much money in my opinion.

If you are a premmie th10, you are screwed. Mostly because of the gargantuan loot penalties and differentials between th8 and th10, I think you may have seemed to forget about that.:o

Let me attempt to help u out here :)

- $7.5mil a day
- averagely loot $200K gold per attack (not including any league bonus)
- That means 7500000/200000 = 37.5 attacks a day
- Assuming every attack takes u appx 8mins (to log in, queue troops, donate, wait for troops again, find a base etc) = 37.5 attacks x 8mins per attack = 300mins a day
- Total accumulative hours spent per day = 300/60 = 5 hours of clashing time non stop

OR

- 37.5 attacks x 20mins training time per attack = 750mins
- 750mins/60 = 12.5 hours a day of "on and off" playing and searching and attacking and donating and training troops and chatting etc etc...

Not easy.. Lol.. And its leisurely attacking strategy in his books..

Trophy range and time of day have a lot to do with loot. More active players at a certain times means less loot.

This ^^^^^^^. Clearly not leisurely playing by any means. The math proves it is more of the same thing anyone has to do to make loot now. Stare at a phone/pad for 12 hours a day. No way around it.

My big raiding time is before work on weekdays. I wake up 5:30 AM central time. Loot is great typically until 7 AM and then tappers off for me.

I also raid in a more variable way between 7-10 PM. Sometimes for an hour, others for maybe 2 attacks. This time is alright for loot typically during the week.

On weekends I get to sleep. I'll try closer to 7-9 Am and maybe randomly during the day. Now weekend loot is always worse but these days I avoid doing any major grinding. More than a few times I've found myself hitting next for 100,000 worth of gold and 10+minutes. I use to raid and clean the house weekends but this unpredictability is making this impractical.

For or me the updates has increased the variability in loot. Good times are better and bad times are even worse. These times are not 100% predictable either. I can have awesome loot for 2-3 raids, then find myself nexting for 10 minutes in the same session.

... The answer lies in a question someone posted back on page 3 or 4 that went unnoticed. Is this guy's ipad jailbroken?

My guess is he's able to search through many bases very quickly because he's using something you're not. I've seen it in action and believe it must make a difference.

Me... Ive been on a break for over a week and think my time with this game has come to an end.

I'm wondering, does the OP's clanmate get more loot because he's able to get more from a base, or he's just getting bases with more? Maybe he has better troop dropping techniques? Maybe he is willing to take on either loot in storages OR collectors while the OP is only looking for collectors? Just wondering....

The new loot system for me has actually forced me to look for more collector raids than before. Before I I would hit the 180 to 250k storage raids generally. I could find these as a higher percent of bases presented this. I like consistent loot versus the super highs and lows we see now. I am learning now that when the loot is dry, put down the ipad and do something else, which honestly is probably good for me.

As to why the original poster is seeing a difference than the clan leader, I bet it is just the luck of the draw. Also the clan leader may understand the capability of the army better than the op.

Well if you rushed TH10 and failed to properly upgrade your troops it has an effect. Lets say you have TH8 troops, but now you cannot properly farm a TH8 base because of the loot penalty, and you also cannot properly farm TH9 and TH10 bases bacause your troops sucks! The available loot is poor from TH8, and the Loot you are ABLE to get from TH9 and TH10 is also poor...

for example, you are a th9 and the system has 10 th8 bases with good loot, 10 th9 also with good loot, and another 10 th10 with good loot. you're able to get the resources of all of them with only the penalty of 10% in the th8.

if you rush to th10, then those 10 th8 are no longer good loot for you. bases are still in system, but now is not good for you.

Had to buy three level 10 walls last night due to only having one builder free and 4 days plus on the rest of them.

Plenty of 300K plus collector bases in Crystal 3 yesterday.

I think one thing to take away from this is that there are quite a few angry people about the state of the game right now, and to jump into the fray on the minority, you may find yourself in the right (either literally or in your own mind) but there is no winning when every single time you respond a ton of people are all over you. I would simply take your own advice only reversed. If the game is so fun and such, why sit on the forums arguing with the people fighting to get SC to return it back to the way they used to enjoy it? Clearly you still have a fun game to go play. So why argue? Just go get that amazing loot you make casually.

:) no the loot is so easy for him that he only has to log in a couple of times per day to get 7.5M, leaving plenty of time to do other things.

Speaking personally and totally honestly about the loot. It has got worse, but not so much worse that I can't keep my builders busy as a Th9. You do have to be willing to move cups to find it though. Yesterday in C2 I was having a terrible time, today in G2 good. I was much more active than normal and managed to make almost 4M. That being said I couldn't do 4 million everyday unless CoC was my entire life. And I must say I'm happy that I'm not a Th10, I imagine that it would be a lot more difficult seeing as most of my loot can come from Th8 storages using quickish farming loadouts and Th10's can't really rollover a Th9 with the same cheap sort of army.

Somebody posted that those that find the fat loots all the time are probably searching for a lot longer, which makes perfect sense to me. So OP, I think although your clan leader could have 80million more on the GG, it's very likly that he has spend about 40million more on searching plus a lot longer looking at clouds :)

hmmm well for example I used to be th7 and get 1 mil so easily no I'm th8 in a trophy range 400 trophys higher then usual and I can't find a 100k raid? That's awkward but on the other hand 7.5 million so true that's a bit suspicious
