After your building is restored, there will be a tab on the middle left of the screen with an arrow on it. Pull it out to overlay the left part of your screen Two tabs are at the top ..and two buttons. click on the "i"" button.. You will see a list of your neighbors. If you are not in a NH click on the magnifiying glass tab to go to the search feature.
i would would really like that. I had what I thought of as a neighborhood with the wonderful individuals (friends and followers) I have played the game with for a long time, and I hoped chat would permit us to communicate with each other and allow us to more efficiently help each other. Instead, we are pulled in different directions as loyalties and relationships formed through time and sharing give way to the experience of banding together in groups where communication is easier and the fact of a group identity promotes exclusivity. It is different than it was.
One reason I have loved playing hay day was the lack of emphasis on competition. That is slowly changing. I liked that I could play my way, as a person playing the game with other persons; it was an even playing field. Every person playing could feel included and as important in the game as any other. Nobody was left out. Now with groups, it isn't so.
The game, like life, grows and changes, and for many, that is a positive thing. But I find myself longing for the hay day I fell in love with fourteen months ago. Benevolent and inclusive.
I agree with those of you who have found the NH feature to be something that doesn't fit how you want to play. I have never advertised my gc id but before but I think this is a good time to do that. I am tigger irwin and if you want to friend me, I help boats and sell a variety of things in my RSS... and although I rushed in to repair my NH, I am the only one there and that's fine. Friend me for "old school" play...I help you, you help me...we sell things in the rss that gets them into the hands of whoever needs or wants them no matter how many our traditional friend circles include. This is not a typical "add me" post...but please feel free to send a request if you want to play without a nh (although it's there if you need to pop in with a message about current or upcoming needs or something similar...or not if you prefer to just stick to super basic hay day fun.)
Well I for one do not agree with the OP
I dont think the chat function is useless, the members in my hood feel the chat is one of the best things thats happened to Hay Day.
some of my members say they have often flagged boat orders and tree/bush revival but had difficulty getting help, now they are in a hood they are getting all the help they need, we have a very friendly hood, members chosen wisely and have agreed to stay by the house rules, this wasn't possible without the chat function, I for one wouldn't be happy with a global chat because its much more controllable in a hood, believe me if there was a global chat there would be chaos!
neither do I feel SC have shot themselves in the foot, do you think they haven't done their market research and have not responded to feedback? I think you will find they have done the right thing for the game.
I do believe its a little premature to make this kind of complaint and I think its a little premature to leave the game without giving it a fair chance. There will be issues to iron out and believe me SC do take on board feedback you give, they cant do it for individuals but they will take into account the feedback from the majority and see if they can implement ideas.
I have learned very quickly how I can make this work for me and I am sure everyone else can if they give it a chance
best of luck everyone and happy farming :)
I couldn't agree more. And for the family chat in an earlier post: if your kid is so young you don't want it chatting with strangers, when did your kid get lost in your big ♥♥♥ house and why can't it just phone you from the toilet asking you for some mallets to trade? You really need chat? Does anyone? As far as I can tell, the only ones who want the chat will use it to keep more EM out of the road side chat and it will divide people up and make this relaxing game unnecessarily competitive. Given time, this chat will probably chase more people away than it will draw.
I will give it time, but I have my reservations.
I still are not any wiser how to delete msg in NH chat no one seems to know the answer
Not even Nick who I pm no answer there either
I have only 3 in my chat but you know what with one person I use msg on Ipad which is clearer and faster
at the moment I found out unless the person you like to chat too must be in the NH chat present otherwise you never get an answer
I don't use my chat for trading I put stuff out as usual and I must say quality stuff
I sold all my expansion materials before to person who needed it
I should realised there was something in the wind when all the expansion material dropped
but this brings me not closer the the dilema I have at the moment get rid of read msg and how to delete them
sorry to reiterate but I am at a loss and frustrated,
if You like to be my friend that is always welcome I help where I can, but do not fill sugar, diary boats, not at my level because it is needed to keep me going :)
Kanga
If you sell something in your RSS with an ad you'll quickly get any help you need. I am even seeing people filling brown sugar and cookie crates during this event, though it's taking a little longer than usual.
I am not sure this NH thing is for me, but I think it's a good thing for Android players who cannot or will not get a Facebook account. (Young children, say. You can't get a Facebook account if you're five years old, but you might want to help and be helped by Aunt Jane, Cousin Joe, and Grandpa. Now you can...if you join their neighborhood.)
As for global chat...from what they said in the CoC forum, global chat is terrible, and few bother with it. You're randomly assigned to a chat server, and it's full of kids begging people to join their clan and trying to get around the profanity filter and curse you out.
I think Supercell learned from that experience. Perhaps they overreacted, with the super-aggressive profanity filter and no global chat at all. But I can understand why they made the choices they did, given what happened with CoC.
