Is there any truth

Is there any truth in the latest rumour that a player is joining clans and taking screen shots of the clan chat. Subsequently players who have used more verbose adult language have been banned from play for 2 days.

Anyone else heard this rumour? Are we breaching T.O.S. to use fruitier language in clans? Left me pondering freedom of speech. I have been in clans where I have not liked the topic chat... so I left. But would never consider reporting those folk for exercising their right to speak freely.

I've not heard this.

On global, yes we need a filter - and probably a better one at that.

In clan, it's down to the players to decide for themselves and I think SC recognise this by not having the filter.

Where did you hear about this? If there is an example, could it be the case there was some direct abuse to the new member?

Sounds possible, but hopefully when SC investigates they would find that the report was bogus. If you join a clan, snap a pic, and notify support it should be easy for support to figure out what you did.

Do you think that SC actually investigates the reports enough to clarify whether or not they are bogus? From what I've observed their support is already very busy without dealing with charges and other technical problems and such. (My "observations" are anything but reliable so forgive me if I am mistaken.)

I hope not, or my whole clan will be shut down for 2 days.

I'm pretty sure it's just speculation. But yeah, we should be allowed to use vulgar language in our clan if it is allowed by the leader, if not, well to bad. Lucky for me I prefer not to curse so no problem for me.

Maybe not, and should they have to ? The game have a ToS, speaking "Freely" as you say still need to abide the ToS you accepted when you play the game.

Freedom of speech does not apply to private games. The guy may be a jerk, but you're not on the right side of the ToS if you speak too freely, like you say.
