I have been thinking about this for a while. Would it be a good idea to make my core level 10 or level 11 walls then rest level 8? Then after I finish my defenses to certain level I can do walls to higher level. Core is most important, so I thought they need best walls. Thoughts?
Sounds cool to me. The outer layers get wall-breaker'd anyway.

A maxed wall breaker needs 2 hits to kill a maxed wall, or a 9-10 wall. So your outer walls in theory don't need to go over 9 (as far as WBs are concerned) however once your attacker runs out of WBs the other troops take longer to break through core walls depending on their level.
