Admissions to some clans are becoming RE-DONCULOUS!!!

So like i get the fact that some clans are 'elite' when you get up to the higher trophy range, trust me ive been there and done that, and even though it isnt a technical setting, some clans have very specific rules that you have to follow to join their clan. EX: I requested to join this one clan 'IceRiver' And they accepted me. They told me that i had to register for their clan on their website.... i was like 'LOL wattt' i went to their website and i had to literally sign up for their clan. Other times i have been denied of admission because i don't have all lvl: xx walls...??? I get that the clan wants to look decent but the thing that really only matters to me in my clan is TR count and Experience LVL.

Any thoughts? Comments?

Register on their website? Lol, I would have told them to kick rocks.

If you don't like them, don't join them. Each clan is free to set their requirements.

I think to each their own; if a clan that you have to register for upsets you then don't join it.

Wall requirements are generally set by clans that have been around for a while, who are looking to recruit more experienced playes to help the clan grow. With higher levelled walls comes a bigger gold grab, and with a bigger gold grab generally comes more farming experience.

Wait it says you've 'been there and done that' when it comes to elite trophy pushing but you record is 2088 trophies?

Those other metrics tell a very long story about what kind of player you are. Experience level can be inflated with troop donations, but other things like the Gold Grab or level 8+ walls clearly define your achievements and how you play the game. For farming clans this is important for culture of the clan. Trophies don't mean anything to farmers.

Haha you have to sign up on our website and complete 10 challenges before you can become a part of our family. Btw, experience level and trophy level are both worthless numbers in this game. Level of walls, gold grab, heroic heist, troop level, etc...Those are the things that matter. Don't see what your complaining about, why would people want to give you level 6 troops and get back level 4?

TR count actually does matter a lot if you are pushing to the top 200... and i have lvl 5 troops, im not complaining im saying some clans are taking the game wayyyyy too seriously. like just kick back and relax. Ive been playing for over a year, i am on my second account, i got bored of my first lvl 113 account th 9 because once you get to the top it gets boring AF

Clans that have high standards do so because they want to play with people who are at the same stage in the game as they are. If you don't meet a clans requirement, go look for another one. There are thousands of others out there that will want you to join.

Yeah but you got to remember that most forum clans are pretty experienced farmers who could care less about trophies. On a side note, are you in a clan on your main? Curious on what your base looks like

I agree with most here. Wall level and GG matter more than having 2000 trophies. A lot of clans also have a mn troop level req and that's understandable.

If ur n ur secomd acc y didn't u mention anything about ur main acc and y not put anything about it in ur signature?

Sorry but i don't believe you. Your a level 60 with 25 mil gold grab and th 8. Thanks for the laugh tho!

Trophies dont matter in the slightest in this game. If th5 and 6 can get to masters it proves that high trophies are irellivent. If a clan wants you to submit an application then maybe they want to know more about you than just your base an stats. Ie age personality an location etc. applications can also be made to deter lazy people. If someone spends the time applying to join a clan then it usually means they really want to be in it.

But yes, the requirements for some of these clans are insane, but usually most of these have feeder clans that you can join, and then build up from there.

There are plenty of clans to choose from. Pick one that works for you. Next issue?

I have been in clans that require all builders to be active, and the lab always be upgrading something. Asking too much if you ask me, because, you know, some people have lives.

Well, first off, you are only level 60, TH8 and have barely reached crystal 3. So you arent an elite player (no offense). Website is a little excessive but may be used for chatting or planning or registering whos banned and stuff like that.
Xx walls is generally for farming clans and indicates how hardcore a farmer is. Trophies are generally not for farming clans, and given you have only been to crystal 3, its hard for you to get into an elite trophy clan either. Clans like InCocnite or Dark N’ families are mostly level 100+, those are the truly elite. And of course, every clan could have their own criteria to join and obviously the better the clan is the higher bars they can set for new people

You shouldn't inspect the Sky Family clans if that makes you angry, lol.

You apply online, contact our Leadership. Have every single stat and building looked over then the Leaders and CoLeaders take a quick vote if you meet the incredibly high requirements(differs from clan to clan...lv9 walls or lv20 heroes or 400m goldgrab).

That's less than it took to get in the top clan I was in when I played WoW a few years ago.

If you join you can find out! They are just challenges that help you maximize your farming potential. I was extremely curious before I joined as well, and now i couldn't imagine me anywhere else. I'm a level 94 and still don't even meet all the requirements for the second to lowest clan in the family (requirements wise). haha trying to keep the thread on topic

for the lowest cetum ludus was 5 in game tasks to do an 5 outside game to do , like go here go therre do this an that,the in game tasks were fun but if ya not into going certain places do this an that then o well, was good fun tho the in game tasks an nice bunch of people worth a look if ya into that kinda thing you just serch clans see the clan info to see if u make reqs first i guess, has what ya need to get in there good luck have fun.

I think the fact that an app game has this type of elitist mentality is shocking. I have read over many "elite" clans and their recruitment policies and just shook my head in wonder. There is so much 'hero-worship' on CoC that it's understandable though, with so many players having their following of fanboys/girls. I personally think it is all laughable but to each their own if they're having fun.

No thank you. I'll stay down in the slums with other mere mortals where the game is played like... Oh right, a game.

I feel like this is a bit of an exaggeration.

Clan leaders can run their clans however the hell they like.

If they want all the other players around their level and experience, so be it; it's their choice.

If they are happy to accept anyone and everyone, so be it; it's their choice.

It's a game, and people can play it however they see fit. Some like tight requirements, some like it relaxed and open to all.

Just keep looking until you find one that suits your needs.

As the game advances so do the players. The game is a year and a half old now... Some clans like to have players who have all been playing for a year at least. You can have a maxxed out base but if you don't have the experience that comes with earning your base you will be rejected.

I actually have a high enough GG and wall level that I don't need to do them *woot* and just joined Your Nightmare, seem to be pretty good clan also :)

Yeah Centum looks like a well run clan. It did put me off a bit when I read that on their clan thread though, but I have a good clashes friend that says he's very happy in Centum so can't be bad.

That's it really, we see the requirements and find them a bit annoying when we don't meet them, but let's face it as players we have just as many, if not more, requirements of the clans than they have of us. I read that there are estimated to be 40,000 active clan out there and think I would probably only be happy joining less than 0.001% of them. We as players who posted on here are far more discerning and choosy than the clans themselves! We just don't have to disclose it to others.

Let me run though a few of my clan requirements, just to give you an idea about what I look for in a clan before staying.
1) Must use only English in the chat
2) Players must be at hi Th9 or above
3) No premie bases in the clan
4) Troops donated to me should be at Th9 maxed level or above
5) Clan leadership should be mature and responsible
6) Clan leadership shouldn't be to mature and responsible :)
7) Friendly players to chat with
8) Players not being fake friendly after the first few days
9) Chance of promotion
10) Not too many elders and co leaders
11) Pressure and competition from the other players
12) Not too much pressure and competition from the other players
13) Cups pushes
14) Not too many cup pushes
15) Not any wing of Sky_
16) Clan members that use the forum
17) Clan that uses Glass board or other to enable better communication that the crud chat format we have in game
18) like minded members in the clan
19) More experienced players to learn from
20) No big headed gemmers
21) No under 12 members
22) No players that use fluffy bunny
23) Highly active chat and donations 24hours per day

I could go on and on and on, but I think the reader should get my point!

While I agree that the website example seems a bit much, I believe clans have a right to set the requirements for admission to attract members which they believe will help their clan progress. If the OP does not like the requirements, then he/she does not have to apply which is his/her right.
