Wait, is it me or did you just contradict yourself?
You say that the drills aren't really important, than you say that 2 maxed drills are amazing. Or is this my poor reading comprehension skills again?

Haha, yeah we got off track. Btw, I clearly said at higher THs it will be worth it to upgrade collectors. For me I think the time/resource balance shifts around TH9. For many that point will be much lower, probably even TH7.
First of all I am farm alot. I have farmed more then 700 mio gold and more than 2 mio de. I have a maxed th9 with 250 lvl9 walls.
Second read my post complete. He was saying he do not need to max his collectors because he can get more in one raid then all collectors would produce in one week.
Sigh, I thought I was done with this thread but I couldn't let this faulty logic pass. Your joking right?????? that upgrading your camps doesn't provide you a return. It's like hiring more salespeople to go out and sell. More troops- more farming - more gold! HUGE ROI.
Then let's talk about your second statement which is even more crazy. By that logic why bother upgrading defenses at all if they have a less than 0 net present value. Your defenses are what protects your gold. Again, massive return on your investment because without them you would lose everything you have very quickly.
You guys are acting as if upgrading mines happens in a vacuum where all other factors aren't taken into account. Until you get to at least th9 your time is better spent upgrading everything else and farming. Once you get to th9 I can at least see how your argument begins to make sense but before that the farming is just too good to waste time on mines.
And Beancounter, I would fire you if you worked in my accounting department (relax, that was a joke, this is just a game after all and we all take it too seriously) if you chose a project like a mine/collector that took 54 days to turn a profit (and in reality it is much longer than that since the resources produced can be easily stolen) over upgrading a camp that would profit the second it was done or a wizard tower that saved you tons of gold the immediately after it was completed.
Lastly, as far as being a leech to the system that is a total joke. Everyone who is active is a drain on the system as you can't produce enough resources to keep up with building. I'm a capitalist and I take advantage of the system that is presented to me. There are millions of players on this game and to think that the few people who choose to not max their mines affects the economy in any way is just beyond ridiculous.
The entire CoC economy is based around people maxing their collectors and quitting. It's as simple as that.
Not true; here is the math:
Max Mine/Pump cost:
It costs 362,550 elixir to upgrade a mine to max.
Multiply that by 6 mines (362,550 x 6 = 2,175,300)
That means it costs roughly 2.1 million elixir to upgrade your mines to max.
Recovery:
To recover that elixir, assuming you have all 6 max Collectors running, it would take a little less than 2 months.
3000 x 6 = 1800
1800 x 1460 (hours in 2 months) = 2,628,000.
That means in 2 months you would get all the elixir back with 452,700 elixir left. And this is not counting the 10 raids you could get 2 million elixir back.
Gold Per day:
From one maxed mine, you can get 72000 gold in 24 hours. (3000 x 24 = 72000)
That means from 6 maxed mines, you get 432,000 gold per day (72,000 x 6 = 432,000)
So I'd say that maxing mines are extremely important.
Haha,I would have been looking for a new job already cause your business lost to the competition! I see lots of th8-10 bases with low level collectors. Their bases are almost always weak with shiny pink walls.
camps and new defense turrets are always a priority for any new townhall. But collectors just help over the entire time you play the game. Simple as that. That is ok, if you don't want the resources then don't upgrade them. But I like extra gold. And I really like having a dirt cheap upgrade that takes a couple of days to build. Cause then I can dump all my gold into walls. it is not like you stop playing while they upgrade.....
I can't believe that some people still argue against upgrading their mines. You don't have to max your mines at all, that is your choice. However, if you choose not to max your mines, you have no right to complain about loot because you are part of the problem.
False. More available loot -> more farming -> more gold. This is dependent on how well upgraded all resource generation is.Quote:

More sales people to go out and sell? So I should hire a bunch of salespeople, pay their wages, and send them out to sell something that does not exist? The resources need to be there for you to steal them.
Because that is the point of the game. Yes they benefit you, but they don't necessarily offer a quantifiable return. How many times do you get attacked per day? How many resources do you lose? How many would you have lost if your structures were marginally worse? It can then be said that putting your town hall in a corner offers an infinite return on your investment since it doesn't cost anything and protects your resources better than any defensive structure.Quote:

I think beancounter seems logical and realistic.Quote:

You are a leech to the system and those who choose not to upgrade are withholding those potential resources from the economy. Not ridiculous and certainly does affect the game.Quote:

It is fact that supercell pushes these bases deep into the matchmaking que, where they cannot be attacked. So, how can they contribute to the economy?Quote:
