De drill

I'm one of many who has contributed reasons for the argument that maxing these resources is important, especially early on. To add to the pile, I've recently run dry on uses for elixer. Because of this I haven't been collecting my collectors, attracting attackers. You might say that's bad, but I think it's awesome watching people spend troops on my collectors, weaking their main army mass invading my base. This has resulted in many important defenses where the attackers didn't reach my core (DE), where they otherwise might have if they didn't waste 30+ troops to get the collectors. Win win, I keep my DE (don't have gold due to spending it instantly on walls), and the attackers take the extra elixer that I can't hold. All due to what? Max collectors, baby!

Lets just say that my income will always be higher than yours if we spend the same amount of effort to raid.

I can definetly see both points of view. On one side, if you are a active farmer, you would notice that collectors and mines barely contribute. If you are the casual player, majority of your resources come from mines and collectors. However, as previous people have mentioned before me, free gold is free gold. OCD people like me can't stand not having a maxed out base, and mines and collectors help in the long run. There's time you can squeeze in a few upgrades, like when trophy pushing or have nothing to upgrade. Also, everyone please upgrade your mines and collectors, whcih means more juicy collector raids for us :).

These max collector threads are ALWAYS entertaining. Just cause it is a simple exercise in logic. And second grade math. But fun none the less!

Usually it is little th7 or th6 saying that they are a waste. And higher levels guys saying to do them. Been there, done that. But they always seem to know better! *sigh* like talking to my children.

see when you are finally th10 and your fastest upgrade takes 10 days you may get around to upgrading them. Then collector upgrades will seem short to you! Little th7 thinks he needs that extra archer tower level RIGHT NOW! Rather then be bothered with a mine. He will clearly loose 30 MILLION gold over the next six months if he does not get an extra level on his cannon! Ack, he will be constantly three starred if he waits one more week for that def upgrade!

See, failure in logic. Waiting a week for a archer tower has little, if any impact on your bases defense. Passing up on 30 mil gold is just dumb. I am very sure that archer tower upgrade or whatever will not save you 30 mil in gold over six months......

If you are a th7 it is exciting and fun working to buy your king or upgrade him! 10k de seems like such a huge hurdle for some guys! A lot of guys even gem it! But guess what? At th10 that is just a drop. My drills make that in less then 2 days. So have some perspective, think LONG TERM. Whether you upgrade that canon or archer today or next week makes very little difference. But collecting free loot really adds up. Or not. You may already know best........

Those are the only other way other thann raiding and gems to get DE, and over night, if high enough level, you willget tons of DE

The difference with this thread is that it was more so high level farmers arguing against upgrading mines/collectors. They think that their god-like farming skills is above the idea of mines. You are right though, failed exercise in simple logic and math. Don't worry though, I think they have finally been silenced, or it is past their bed times. Either way, welcome to the party.

The big thing you mine maxers are forgetting is the cap in gold that you can hold. At the end of the day if I max out my storages by farming while my buildings are upgrading it is irrelevant if my mines are maxed and you will not have any more gold than I do. I choose to max my storages with farming. Kind of like this:

Dude......really? Why so much hate? The posts I read against maxing mines were mainly about our own preferences. I don't tell you how to play your game so don't try to dictate how I should play mine.

Smalls, buddy, if you would read our counterarguments, you would not still be using the farming card. I would bash on this post of yours, but me and a couple dozen others in this thread have already rendered your weak argument invalid. Shrink that big head of yours to match your screen name and read our posts. Don;t be shy, you know that we know that you know that we are right.
