I'm thinking maybe you can always opt to leave a neighborhood. But can you kick one out of a neighborhood? I just want to chat with my current neighbors but that's more than 20. Waaaaahhh.

I think the whole point is to find people who have similar play styles and join up with them. If you are worried about not playing every day, then find other people who also don't play every day and form a neighborhood.
I'm surprised so many people are poo-pooing this new feature when we haven't really even gotten a chance to see it in action. We don't know the rules yet, or how it will all play out.
Give it some time, people. :D
In CoC we help other players by donating troops. Sometimes we get people who only request but don't donate back, or donates troops not asked etc. Finding good people in your clan is sometimes stresfull. It's hard to keep track who donates and who doesn't. But mostly is clan leaders job, or co-leaders. I'm co-leader in my clan.
This is why COC Stressed me out....
I guess we will just have to wait and see...
But it seems more competitive and "clan-like".....
I really should stop judging and just wait until I see what's actually in the update.
BTW--what the Haeckel is lemon curd? Sounds dreadful....
I don't play CoC either, but I find the idea of cooperative play stressful, at least if you have to do it all the time.
I like doing what I want to do, when I want to do it. If I don't want to participate in events, I don't have to. I can choose my own goals, whether that's decorating my farm, maximizing my barn space, leveling up, acquiring coins, filling out my fishing book, etc.
If there's team play, then the team's goals will take precedence over mine. Or least, there might be a lot of peer pressure in that direction.
I wonder how this will affect the teams that are already out there. Those Facebook groups with maxed out barns and silos, who always win the events. If there are more than 20 people, will they split into two neighborhoods? Ignore the neighborhood function? Have one person be the spokesman for their group in another neighborhood, and become the 800 lb. gorilla there?
Now to sit & wait for the repair to complete.
Not spending 59 diamonds to speed it up.
How much does it cost to repair it?
And what level do you have to be to get lemon trees?
