actually, got 2 starred today.. I been busy and havent changed layout back..
so basically, vs 100 archers picking some, and about 70 barbs, with.. since bard AI is any unit, they dont run around. They go straight main.. then once breach, BK/AQ comes.
This with 3-4 blue spell taking out 1 side of D, and go for 2 star.. 50% + hall.
So, I guess i learned how to breach this base easily and if this guy had a lot goblin, he would probably got a lot of my resources too.
so, i just posted a pic as a reference.. played around with diff tower setting, but same or worse result, dropped quite a few cup since its wont stand any attacks over 2000+... so
sorry man, it is right, the base is probably just good for low range new players who cant attack.. ><
still a good looking base, just by appearance and thats pretty much why i thought i try it just for fun =)

Finally took some time to analyze your replica and noticed a few things. Firstly, I usually do not recommend my designs for those who intend on modifying it as my building/wall/decoration placements all have intended strategic effects to contribute to the whole base's utility.
In your case, the problem is the splash damage exposure. I noticed that you switched the storages with the cannons. However, I specifically placed the storages close/right next to the mortars and wizard tower so they can "tank" the enemy closer to the splash damage since they have high HP. Also, your mortar placement is incorrect. It makes HuGE difference having your mortars away from the forced "entrances" when defending against the mass tier 1 attacks that you described. One or two extra splash volleys while enemies are attacking a 2190HP building can usually decide the outcomes of these attacks.
Props on the nearly identical wall placement. However, I suspect that you modified the building placement without fully understanding the purpose of the forced entrances. Some of your defensive structures are more exposed than an elixir pump, for example.
If you are interested in testing its real potential, I suggest you replicate the exact design (my current optimized version - clan: DTP, IGN: Pingfao.) I'm interested to see how it would really hold up at higher trophy as well, but CBA taking my time off farming. So if you could do the honor.. ;)
