You shut my game down, which allows someone to raid me and ruins all my hard work. ARE YOU TAKING THE ♥♥♥♥!
If this is what you want to do, then please feel free to reimburse me all the cash i have spent on this game on gems!
If i want to play for 23 hours a day, sleep for an hour and play again, thats my choice, not yours. I was playing for maybe 5 hours while and you tell me im on to long!

This is simply protecting the loot system. You have obviously been on your iphone too long, so take a break :)

but there is a reason why they do it. This rule was made for champion league players as far as i know.

The enforced break was made to ensure those in the higher leagues (i.e MI and champ) do not stay online using means other than their good selves grinding it out. It was well known that certain people were staying online, and thus ruling them out of being attacked, using different apps/jail break features/assistive touch/etc.

If everyone up high was online 24/7, who would be available to battle in the matchmaking queue? The viability of the game up there depends on these enforced breaks, at the end of the day.

It has been this way for a while. While normally I might agree that companies have no right to determine how a customer uses a product they bought. After all, if I buy a couch and then the sofa company barges in eight hours later tells me to get of my lazy butt, I would justifiably be upset. But, there are several differences between buying a product and "buying" "your" village.

For one thing, there is no guarrente that you actually bought anything. I have a nice level 103 village that takes up Supercell's server space, but I haven't given them a dime. Is it really mine? For another, even if you have paid, you don't have any physical property. You are using someone else's service and agree to their Terms of Service. If Supercell went bankrupt, pulled the plug, turned off the servers, and deleted all game data, can you complain that you lost "your" product.

Also, unlike my couch, where it doesn't matter if I never use it or never get off it, this is a multiplayer game that only functions if there are bases to attack. The way one consumer uses the product directly affects the experience of another user.

Use the opportunity and take that forced break to play this other mobile app game called: real life...

yeah I know, gameplay of that could be terrible from time to time, but the graphics are amazing...

And if you didn't know already, this rule was to keep top players from staying on all the time.
They used to use some jailbreak thing to stay on 24/7, and therefore, never getting attacked. There used to be players with very low leveled defenses in the top 200.

What do you DO with 5 hours on CoC anyway?! I get bored within 20 minutes because I got no gems to speed things up...

Its so people dont stay on 24/7 in champ league to not get raided. Plus, if you are raiding for 6 hours, one loss should hardly lose anything for you. Also, in case you didnt know, they dont care if you leave. its not like that many people have left the game cuz of that anyways. Dont expect to avoid raids forever by being online.

Why do they let low level players have a break I mean there isn't anything big going down here that u need to put in a break the low level players are not ♥♥♥♥♥ing as the champions are in order to stay on top they should a have a update where only people over crystal 2 should have a break and people that over $75 on the game shouldn't have to leave when told they should chose on there own unless they have Been on for waaaaaay to long (25 hours) at the most then they need help but that we wouldn't need breaks

i agree with that. The majority of c h e a t e r s are in champion league. Make all of these new rules only apply to them.

Some farmers use the same tactics too, I very much welcome the enforced break. Some players on my revenge list are ALWAYS ONLINE, and are hanging around in gold/crystal leagues. Giving others a chance to attack them is very much in the spirit of the game.

You attack, you get attacked. Exactly how it should be.

Enforced breaks are good for the game.

edit2: personally I think you should be booted off the game in two hours. It is impossible to revenge certain people cause they are on all the time!

It affects people who pushes in masters and champions league significantly. No one wants to play 8 hours straight, but its not difficult to stay online for 8 hours. I don't know about others but I can get lots of work done while staying online, play maybe once per hour. Or I just chill in my couch watching a movie while staying online and play once or twice during the movie. I don't stare at my villages, all you need to do is to touch the screen from time to time.

By forcing people to log off after 6 hours means I would be attacked at least twice per day, even if getting 3-stared. Previously you only get one attack per day if you get 3-stared (16 hours shield) and then stay on for 8 hours. Again it doesn't matter to players who are farming, but affects trophy hunters.

The forced break was recently lowered from 8 hours to 6 hours. The OP needs to take a break from CoC anyways, he is getting way too angry over a 5 minute break.

The forced break is in place for a really good reason. Without it there are just to many ways to stop an account from logging out and its loot and trophies untouchable forever. The new 6 hour break is imo pretty bad as it is difficult for me to get much loot in that time and along comes a 350k/350k hit. Seems many that didn't know of its existence at 8 hours are showing up effected by it at 6. If this change was due to high trophy levels using it as some sort of loop hole I understand but why it has to affect us at lower ranges doesn't make much sense to me.

Nothing can prevent SC to limit the time of play per day to 16 hours or even 12.

Ehhh, how can you NOT earn a lot of loot in a six hour stretch playing..... What are you raiding 50k lot bases with a 30 minutes army? Lol! Sorry, it makes no sense. Personally, I think even 6 hours is too long. A very frustrating aspect of the game is trying to revenge some hard core farmer who is on 12 hours a day.

Hmm, i would love to have an option where you can revenge someone and the game boots the other guy off. Like a timer, you will be revenged in 20 minutes flashes on your screen. Now that would be awesome. Ohh to hear the wailing of hard core cup hunters and farmers about not being able to prevent a revenge.

Firstly, i would like to thank you guys who set me straight on the reason why SC enforce this shut down. I totally agree that if the guys at the higher end of the game are ♥♥♥♥♥ing, then this is a sound play by SC.

Secondly, i would like to say sry for my use of a swear word in my original post.

Finally tho, i would like to say something to those who are having a slight dig at me for being on so long.
I am not normally on so long, but as of a few weeks ago, i have a lot more time on my hands, as i am off work recovering form Chemo treatment. I dont get out and use the chat function to keep in touch with my friends, hence the length of my gaming hours.
I dont normally have a problem with getting raided, but when your saving up for your next ug and a break is forced on you, allowing some grateful enemy to knock you back a couple more raids, it makes me slightly miffed.
Dont be so judgmental of people! Especially on their first post.

All that said, thx for all the interest. You dont get that on many forums nowadays.

so who are these thousands of people?

For part timers its not so bad, but yeh for serious pushers like in Sergio s thread its a very bad system all because of the exploiters but those that have exploited have tainted there clans name guilty by association... I dont serial push to champ etc but i hope sc do fix the system for real players that grind for top spots... I just adapt now when i push... But even a blind man can see this 6 hour kick time is killing the true grinders fun...

Take a chill pill man!!! It's all good, it's to combat Champion League players that stay on too long, everyone has to take a break and get attacked! But I mean yolo, right?

Okay, so I am sure if I went through all these pages, I'd find more of the same.

Yes, this rule was made for Champion League play. And I agree it's needed up there to make the game fair.
But for Crystal League and below forced breaks are nonsense and should be done away with.

Look, i understand that it is only a few mins, but if i have put in time and more importantly here, Money (gems), and i am only low level, why would they impose a break on me? They dont cap the amount you can spend at any lvl do they!

If there are ♥♥♥♥♥ers, which its seems from comments there are, I am not one of them. I fully understand the need to stop this for the good of the game, truly i do. However,if they can keep stock off how much money they are taking from the thousands of honest paying players, then surely they can invest a small amount back on a stat tracker, to see who the c h e a t s really are, and leave the good guys to play till our eyes bleed.

This is still going.... If your on this long than you really must be bored.

One break every 6 hours isn't going to set you back too far. When it happens throw your town hall outside and get an easy shield instead of losing any resources.

I totally understand the reason for the break. At higher levels, no one would be able to be attacked. The player pool is just too shallow up there.

I would like to sue people who attack me for breaking and entering as well as grand larceny :cool:

If you're saying that you used to play 23 hrs a day then you might want to delete the app... Also if you're a farming ( I assume you are) after all your hard work of raiding then the amount you could possibly lose will be a minimal amount compared to all your profit in 6 hrs

Well said buddy. I think the time break should be taken away in lower leagues.
btw i cant understand why people giving him advise to take a break.. Maybe he is watching tv and playing his game in same time all chilling and that 5 mins break will cost him a big amount of loot loss.

Im not against the break, but i think it's useless since there is more than one way around it, and also useless in lower leagues.

This is simply a way Supercell is trying to stop ♥♥♥♥♥ing in the champions league, and right when they put it on many champions dropped many trophies. It does work and you shouldn't be complaining because it does more help than hurt.

Not only that nobody ever said that he had to spend money on this game. Free to play. SC had every right to implement whatever feature they want. If you don't like it don't play. Simple as that.

urhm... In 5 hours you should get AT LEAST 4million gold +. Maybe 3 on a bad day 5+ on a good one. Now you will lose hmm about 400k max from a attack on your base? There are plenty of legitimate uses for a jailbroken device, and there are plenty of jail breakers who do not chēat, myself included.

Put your town hall outside of your base, so that if someone attacks you, they will likely just hit your town hall.

Pick a news app or another game to play while your army is building. Return when your army is ready.

You should never hit the cool down with this strategy.

If you are using gems to constantly play, take a break after every 2 hour boost by switching to the method above or actually taking a break.

The rule is intended to stop high level players from not getting attacked by always being on. As a farmer, you shouldn't care about this as much. Again, just put your town hall outside and let someone hit it, should happen quickly. You are probably dropping trophies every so often anyway with such an aggressive attack strategy.

Not really. Technically speaking Jailbreaking is against the ToS. It's more like not allowing a legitimate dog owner to have a pit bull, because the lease agreement they signed specifies "No pets".

The DMCA (Digital Millenium Copyright Act) allows for jail breaking. The only legitimate consequence is the potential loss of warranty, so the 'No Pets' thing doesn't apply.

Im probably speaking from ignorance here but what reason would a person want for having a jail broken device, especially if it goes against apple's tos? Curious to know that's all.

So that you can install great apps that were disallowed in App Store because they compete with apple's own service/apps. So that you can further customize your phone like android users. Just to name a few.

I just dont see the point in reducing the time to play from 8 hours (which is quite short time) to even 6 hours...im playing around 3700 trophies and with endless clouds and/or 1trophy4threestars-opponents u are lucky if u can find 5 oder 6 opponnets within these 6 hours worth an attack. And any opponent that gives u more than 10 trophies for a threestar is worth a attck...so after these 6 hours u r forced to deff and thus forced to loose in average at least those recently won trophies...

Well, then maybe trophy counts shouldn't be so inflated at the top. If someone at 2000 trophies three starred someone at 2700, they would, unsurprisingly, get a large number since there is a large difference between 2000 and 2700 trophies. But, is someone at 4000 really seven hundred trophies "better" than someone at 3300? They likely both have maxed out bases and use the same armies.

If you don't know the answer to this question, it probably isn't for you.

I personally install Folder Enhancer (allows for an unlimited number of items in folders, and subfolders), SB Settings (quick access to various settings), Open SSH (allows manual access to files), and Scrobl (allows background "scrobbling" of tracks to Last.fm).

I also like to tinker with themes, and have even created a few of my own. If you don't know what you're doing, you can mess things up, but I do know what I'm doing, and there is nothing that I can do to my device that I can't fix.

The truth is that whenever Apple releases an update with a new "breakthrough" feature, they usually got it from the jailbreak community, which has been enjoying it for years already.
