Raiding 101

Great thread mate, it should help alot of people out.

I personally like a challenge, and view dark elixer to be the most valuable resource, so I base my army on attacking other farmers, usually maxed bases.

My typical army break down is this:

1 barracks making giants
1 barracks making archers
1 barracks making goblins
1 barracks making 8 wall breakers, then 3 wizards

I also have 3 rage and 1 lightning knocking about for those special bases out there :)

I usually only use the wall breakers if any, about half the time so I just make extra wizards. My usual loot is around 200/200/800 right now, but i will gladly hit a 0/100/1000, as its dark elixer I am after, and i like to cover my expences where possible.

I am peaking-out (plateau if you will) for my early TH7 around 1150 Troph.. [going for 1250] then Ill try for a big bite and lose 28 trophs for not starring them..(minor setback, but the Farmer in me dosent care cus Im in a 'WALLS' phase ATM) Or a seasoned TH8-9 with lvl4-5-6 troops will trounce me in my weak early TH status. so Ill be back down to 1130 or less..

Going to try for the Healer Giant combo when I get on later.. Will report back with support build mix for the G-Healer combo. Currently have 185 troop space (camps upg as we speak [read anyhow] lolz)

My all rounder formation ;) ( yes I use it for revenge too )
8 giants ( ;) good meat shield)
14 Wbs
76 archer
45 babs
45 goblins ( haha they are so good for farming ;) )
My range 1600-1900 ,favorite village target --> high loots village... I don't care if 2Xbow or max wizard tower ;)

Here's my normal raid process -

2-4 wallbreakers to crack the wall
5 giants to take first hits
30 barbarians rush in
30 archers fly around
30 goblins go for resources

I either get 3 stars or get my ♥♥♥ kicked depending on the players defence unit lvl's.

You gotta aim the giants to take out some mortars or wizards, I suggest you start using 8-10 giants.....

quite good actually; especially with those who left their air defenses outside (and lv 4 mortars).
Use only 1 lv.3 healer, the rest are barbs, archs, gobs according to your taste.

things usually went wrong when the healer try healing only one troops instead of the barb horde.

My barrack is lv9, 6, 6, 6.

Depending on the amount of wb i have in army camp it will be

lv9: 5 wb, the rest archer
lv6: 5 wb, the rest archer
lv6: 5 wb, the rest gobs
lv6: 5 wb, the rest giants

but if i have enough wb, then just archer/archer/gobs/giants

works quite well now :o

just hope to get lv5 troops asap..
can't seem to have proper raids with lv4 troops at th8.

Barracks finished when I got on, so 190 troop count. my base had me in good standing. I had 1185trophs. first raid was a loss, but then in short order I was up to 1222.
First go was a bit more than I could chew..seen 26 trophies went for the gusto.. forgot to take out air def as priority, and got my healers killed pretty quickly..then my giants were mowed down by good WT/AT set up.

To support my Giant Healer combo
2-3 Healer(s) 16-20Giants as base; Then, 25 each Barb/Arch, 15 or so gobs

Got lucky one time, called out the CC troops and dropped ahealer behind them.. She was able to neutralize the WT protecting the TH,shooting her ‘healing powers’ just before the wizzy would strike! Epically awesome,as I thought I was going to lose another close one and drop 27 trophs. finished with like 2 seconds on the timer!! WHEW!!

On my way back to SUB200..but will take my time in the 1000-1100 range for a bit..good loots I passed up hunting Trophs..little do they know I’ll be back with no care about a dang troph..Muhuhaha! Gimme that G/E !
