They are instituting trophy leagues, which reward having a higher trophy count. Barb/archer will likely not cut it against the stronger bases that you will most likely have to face. TH 6 and below will still be able to get away with it, and TH 7 might too, but TH 8/9 may have to abandon it.

With leagues, will protecting town hall be necessary? Aka hybrids will be necessary?

It stopped working for me, in th9, because I have to crack up higher leveled bases with a full army. IE: Style 6 of raiding in the OP.

Exactly, higher trophies=harder bases.

I don't think, between farmers, that protecting the th could be necessary. Maybe if the loot was free as I viewed it in the video, farmers would "share" the free loot by lacing their th unprotected.

So barb arch is pretty much the reason th7 is famous for farming?

No, I believe it's primarily because you have a huge advantage over TH6 but can still raid them with only a slight loot penalty. Once you hit TH8 the lowest you can profitably raid is TH7, where people have far more tools to protect their loot compared to TH6.

So I really shouldn't be trying to raid mature TH7s with no giants gobs or WBs at TH7?

Barb-arch were ALWAYS enough for me to raid ANY th7 base I saw until I got th9.

Nice guide btw, I've used the Barb and Archer Combo. it's very nice to use if you know how to deploy at lower Th levels. The method 6 you mentioned. Can use this combo without barbs? I mean without barbs can the battle survive? Because barbs are generally for meat shields, without them we have 1 less troop to tank but more giants to tank?

Hey,

I like the barbs as a 2nd meat shields, which can be spawned AHEAD of the archers, while the giants go for the defends, so by this way, you will have 2 meat shields, not 1.
