Is copying bases ok?

Off course it is ok to copy and share base designs specially in your own clan. That's what the clan is there for, to share ideas and strategies as well troops. Good thing you left. If it was my clan we would have kicked you out anyway for being selfish.

I aint being selfish id be more then happy to help someone with a base but the one i worked hard on u take credit for i dont think its right

I've always created my own base, which probably hasn't been the best choice but oh well! Once I hit TH 10 though, I already have a few "professionals'" base setups in mind. I see nothing wrong with improving your base by using someone else's setup. If it works it works!

but for the copycats, they are pretty assured that it will get beaten no matter what - they would also not learn how to properly launch an attack. Your base reflects your kind of attack...If you copy a base 100% that means your attacks are also copied attacks from youtube like gowipe, gowi, etc. For those who build effective bases and are keen in making their own base like you....then most probably, your attacks are better than the average players who just copy.

try making more bases...be creative like the hardocre people around here. it'll improve your game more.

I've created every base I've ever used (and I've employed many...). I don't find it very challenging or entertaining to adopt a published design. I'd be pleased with myself if people were copying my layout. An homage to the master. ;D

as long as the person themself is okay with you copying the base its okay so in this case hes in the wrong

As long as they give credit to the original creator.

If he's copying your base, the only reason is because he likes it.
Don't be irritated by it, be proud of yourself and your work.
I understand why you are saying that he got no respect for you.
But if said yes from the beginning, the are no problems.
