I know that hogs have a hard time now days with the Multiple target infernal Towers and all that kind of stuff... But they can still destroy every town hall 9 in the game... I really hope that Supercell soon will fix the hogs they will get more balanced. Somethign that would really help everyone one has town hall 9 is if the giant bombs did double damage or maybe even more levels on the giant bombs so they will be able to take care of the hogs... .-.
I like your idea, hogs are very over powered. Luckily, anti hog bases are starting to be discovered, and they seem to be working more efficiently. I bet you if they get nerfed in hit points again, they will become very unpopular....but then what will be the big heavy hitting strategy now? Once hogs get balanced...the game will be a LOT more fun, that's one thing that almost all of us can assume. Now we just need clan wars xDQuote:

Giant bombs dealing double damage to hogs would make them entire useless. I'm not using hogs myself since I enjoy balloonions, but using an anti-hog layout does NOT mean you will get wrecked when posed against anything except hogs.
When farming in M3 for about 1½-2 weeks I had a fair enough win % against hogs as TH9, even though I had both heroes upgrading and most of them lured CC. Sure, there's no guarantee that you will win a defense versus hogs, but you're probably not winning against GoWiPe or GoWiWi either. Most of my losses were 1-star with barely any resource loss, and I had one 2-star and one 3-star defeat. Hog bases filter out good attackers from facerollers, and anti-hog layouts require the attacker to be good at hogging, otherwise they will pretty much fail.
If you're so concerned about not losing to hogs you should upgrade your TH. I'm sure you use to balloonions every now and then as well, and even to some giant healer wiz or whatever other comp, but it's just so flavor of the month to complain about hogs to get them nerfed even more. They are OK as they are, just use a decent layout. Also, what rating are you playing at?

Hogs are not complety useless if giants bombs would do double damage to them. You just gotta send a couple of hogs in to clean the giants bombs up and then send the rest of your hogs in.. And if you use an anti hogs base then the balloon and minion strategy will wreck you.Quote:

What's your point here? No layout is perfect against every army, but I didn't lose too much against balloonions, although I got 2-starred a few times. That's what I expect, though, not having ITs. Being a heavy balloons user myself, I pretty much attack any TH9 base as long as it has much resources and ADs not straight in the center surrounding CC and DE, so layout is rather moot there.
What I'm getting at here is that you make it sound as if using an anti-hog layout will make you lose 3 stars every battle regardless of what's attacking you - this is not the case. Again, what is your cup range, TH, and progression?
Oh, and your argument about hogs not being completely useless if giant bombs were to do double damage - how do you intend to take out 4 well-placed giant bombs with "just a few hogs to set them off"? I just don't see that happening.
Leave the hogs alone. Also if you can't beat them join them.
