This is just a fast idea how to stop people who are chea-ting by being online by using machines and all that kind of stuff..
You should be able to get attacked when you are online! How this could work is when you are online and someone attacks you then you wont be able to see it but when you log out and log in Again then you can see that he have attacked you. If he destroys your base and you wil get a shield you wil lstill get your shield and people can no longer attack you ofcourse.
. If you are high in trophies or have lots of resources, you would be attacked as soon as your shield goes off. As soon as you get back from a raid with high resources, you would lose everything you gained.
Not trying to put down your idea, but just stating the problems about it.

Sounds like glitches could easily happen; for example, what if someone attacked you and stole some gold, and you tried to upgrade something without having enough(since the attacker took gold but you couldn't see it)?

That makes perfect sense!Yeah,you are redoing your base,and all of a sudden,guess what?Some random dude attacks your current in progress base.Would you like that?
How about, instead of just straight up letting them attack, you have (for example) 15 seconds to either pay a certain amount to deter the attack, or let it happen (wait).
