imo, there should be a maturity in understanding what is "chea ting" and unethical. I completely agree and support OP for the fairness and transparency.

Pondering where should lines be drawn :
- There are multiple players on the forums that have more than one account, some even have 3 or more, isnt that against Tos ?
- Many are in the same clan donating to themselves, wouldnt that be called chea ting ?
-The second account does not meat clan requirements but since the main account player is elder or co-leader, he accepts himself, ist that unethical ?
- or donating/receiving the highest troops you desire exactly to yourself. I know couple of clan mates who donate lvl 6 giants or loons to their 30 level second account, and share replay that only with CC they could 3 star a base, Isnt this 'chea ting' ?
- When you are farming in gold, and you come across one of your family clan player(Or a friend) as opponent, what would you do ? would you skip it, attack with all your might, or give a shield. Isnt that 'unethical' that you are biased in attack based on the opponents name ??
- A person puts his TH outside to get a cheap shield and save resources, isnt that chea ting ?
- Youtuber gets gems through 'unetical' means of third party subscription and fooling people, but still calls others chea ting and unethical ... pity

To my understanding the gameplay at champ league should have different set of rules, same policies like in gold league will not work. Getting 1 cup for win and 30 to lose is really not a good position to be in.

All your question about what is unethical won't make top players looks better, nor will the fact that they lose 30 and grab 1.

I'm pretty sure there's much more behind it, we are talking of people spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars each week, I' would not be surprised to know that they are putting money on allies accounts as well. If so, would that still be ethical and accepted, paying someone to lose could be accepted by Supercell?

Both of them are partly right. There are players that use fluffybunny, there are players that use actual physical mechanical objects, there are players the intentionally lose to clanmates or stop at 50%.

I trust thorzain because he's been a champion longer than Pat and I've heard Pat saying blatantly wrong things before.

Oh yeah, they do sponsor each other all the time. Usually the wealthier players sponsor the more skilled players.

I know I'm coming into this convo very late but I did read every post. My only question that I care to hear answered is this:

Why do the mass majority of clashers and people on the forums care if they themselves will never make it to this level anyways? I don't say this with spite or from anger, I'm actually just generally curious? CoC and this forum seem to harbor so many fan boys and girls that it is just incredible. So many of these passionate responses are from people who are at TH7-9 and who have admitted to never wanting to play at this top level. Yes a you tuber posted a video and yes some of the world top players are sharing their story. Fanboys and girls from both sides are jumping in aid of their "heroes" and it is all just so silly when they themselves will never be effected by this problem.

Yes, you can say that che@ting effects all clashers in the philosophical sense... but at the end of the day 95% of people will never wish to go to the 3800+ range so why do they get so passionate about it? I never thought celebrity worship (and in CoC I use that term almost laughably) would get so high in societies world wide that it effects mobile app games.

When players feel so strongly about being in those top spots they will do whatever it takes to feed this delusional need whether it is legal, ethical, moral or any other words you care to use. Realistically, if it requires this much effort and is no longer fun why does it matter?

OP, I agree that offense is way overpowered in Champion league. As it stands, I would say that offense is overpowered 95 to 5 over defense. If maxed defenses even had a slight chance to win many people in Champion league wouldnt feel the need for those c h e a t s.
