Please do something about this. I am losing up to 1.5k per attack to people just using 4/5 lightening spells on my Dark Elixir. It is not possible to defend against this type of attack and it is highly irritating.
Please stop ignoring this.

I don't get it. Even tho it doesn't involve any strategy, it is legit. Dark elixir storage is a building, lightning spells is supposed to damage building. There's nothing to fix about it.Quote:

Constructive. Check my stats - this is not about how well I raid. It is about a general situation that is unfair to defenders. When you get to the stage when all your DE upgrades cost over 100k, you will soon realise that losing multiple kk per day to people using lightening gets old, fast....It should require effort to raid DE...not simply just the dropping of lightening spells...wasting my time raiding it back - which I will do - is not a solution to the situation that I am describingQuote:

I havent seen lightning on my DE storage for about 6 months now. I think way to many people (especially TH10s) are still farming in Micky Mouse ranges. You will not see this happening in Crystal 1 and higher.
LOOK AT HIS DEFENSE LOGS! No lighting spells used he is just giving his DE for freeee!

That's the best part - he's a high level TH10 hanging out in Gold II. I'm a low level TH9 and that's where I farm my gold. Not a lot of players that can take on his base down there. So it's not surprising that he's getting zapped a lot - not enough players to try and take him on with troops and give him a shield.Quote:

They are trading trophies for DE. You get the trophies. They get the DE.

I attack TH9 and TH10 almost exclusively. Other farmers...
Low level TH s actually nearly always take the TH. It's the guys farming that drop the bolts...L5 and L6 spells...let's bust the myth that only the downtrodden TH7 s bolt people's DE
I farm dark elixir in champ league mate. Its simple to use balloons and minions to achieve 50% while the higher players leave their storages and many building almost free to get in an attempt to protect townhall. I have 4k+ de per raid. Raid every 40 minutes. Use maybe 1 or two rage spells.its definitely not unheard of... Mingle around master league for a bit and you can make your way up easily. You have strong base also.. It will hold up.;)

It may be inefficient but it's their choice.
So raise trophies, do it yourself, or accept that it is part of the game.
I'm farming for gold. DE is a by product. If I were farming for DE, sure, I'd want to go higher. As you probably know, we make more gold outside of masters...Quote:

You CAN NOT defend against lightening on your DE and yet it is possible to lose over 1.5k per DE bolt attack. This seems unfair given how DE is a premium resource and if you were to gem it, it costs more than any other.
I personally dont think this is to do with trophy level, where ever there are people more interested in resources than trophies (farmers), there will be people using multiple lightening on DE. Gold 3 Crystal 1, i've been bolted all the same. Only in the higher 2500 did it almost stop all together but of course this is were people value trophies more than resource...
Hunting cups is a completely different game and one that I dont really enjoy (losing 30 cups because of a network disconnect, and spending most of the day getting them back, no thanks).
Its been said before but if SC made it worth your time to hunt cups from a resource perspective, im sure more would do it but the fact is that you can upgrade your base quicker if you dont play the trophy game...yes, that does present a challenge when your base is maxed, and thats where I'm at now more or less - in need of more content, but that is for a different thread...

Can't you see the irony of a near-max TH10 sitting in gold II crying because they think they're being attacked unfairly?
You are attacking TH7-9 with up to 270 troops, all maxed, with a full choice of potions if you want them, yet you are outraged because you got zapped?
How is what they are doing worse than your strategy? Farming is what it is, it's not meant to be fair. They have 0% chance of defending against you, and your DE is there to be sucker punched when they want revenge. Suck it up.

Put your TH inside your base and don't login for 1 week. You'll be up at 2,500 easy. Any lower and you're manipulating the system to stay in a range which is beneficial to you. Nothing wrong with that but what else can the average guy down there do to hurt you?
No, but I can see how you would make the assumptions. I attack using BARCH+ Gobs for speed - very similar army to that I used at TH9 except I have 20 more. I farm other farmers mainly because despite mytrophy range, attacking ANYTHING lower than a TH9 is not really worth the effort - even if they are abandoned. The odd TH8 if I've been skipping for too long but that is rare. I am here so that I can log off and on frequently and not worry about losing 1-2 storages every time. Not something you can do in Master because of the fact you would be constantly breaking shields because more people carry power armies you'd and drop quite quickly in trophies.Quote:

If my base was cracked open and MY DE stolen - A L29 queen took it all once - I would not complain. They beat my base, good for them. I am actually "fairly" attacked all of the time. Some are more successful at getting what they wanted than others. I usually give 100k+ elixir just from my pumps...But unlike the TH9 and TH10s that I attack who are actually very well equipped to defend against BARCH, it is not possible to defend against bolts on your DE - that and only that is my point. I beat bases with BARCH, I dont think they feel too bad to be honest. people at TH8 can actually make much stronger armies than I use! And lets not pretend that I am the only high level player down here. This place is full of people farming farmers. Lots of TH10s and they can cook an army just as good as I can. My base may be better than theirs but we all know walls mean next to nothing if you cook the right army. I'm not buying this "carlito is a bully" argument. The loot penalty actually put an end to bullying quite effectively. The people I attack are not exactly helpless. This is the last person that bolted me - 4 x L5 Lightening. Doesnt look like a downtrodden TH8 or lower to me. I think some people responding to this threrad need to just "listen" to the other side of the argument and stop assuming they have the right of it...

Look at his Elixir, it means nothing to him.
Only way you're going to not get zapped is if you raise to Crystal III or above. Sure, the odd one might do it but I'd guess they are mainly revenge, not unprovoked attacks.
Either you are the most unlucky guy or you post about it here so much people know it's the best way to attack you :)

Closing this as youve resorted to naming and shaming. Also farming in a lower trophy range may be the best and fastest way for you to get gold, however its a trade off and you can expect lower DE amounts, and also these lightning strikes on your own DE store. If all you care about is gold, then why do you care? If you do care about DE, why are you only farming for gold?.
