Holy snap, he actually did it.
Well done, icarus!:)
Already a thread on this :P think its is against the rules for repeats.
awesome! well done, but why are you so sure that he didn't gem? maybe he gemmed a couple... idk
Lol I think he might have gemmed a few because a few minutes before I posted the thread he had one wall left and only 700k in each gold storage. So that means 7x4=28 and he had at the most 3 mil in his storages. I don't think someone can farm 1 mil gold in a few minutes unless they hit a real gold mine
Yet I took a screen shot 40min ago of them all lvl11 - proof http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...level-11-walls (sometime was wasted writing the post etc)
Yup, that proof in the quote proves that what "ThatoneguyIknow" said above isn't true. I'm just saying that what you said in the particular post isn't true, but maybe he did gem some other time, we won't know. Unless, someone asks him and we will know! ( But of course he may lie, but it is still an amazing amazing AMAZING accomplishment if he farmed a majority of it.)
Insane! Congrats and take a break now :)
Edit: Just noticed boosted barracks. The definition of "farming" is so wishy washy now...
Wow that's awesome.
That's freakin crazy. I wish I had the amount of free time he has
I couldn't care less if he gemmed a few walls... Takes a lot of hard work and patience to do that
Wow..... What a magnificent achievement, was he the first to max them out without gemming a lot?
And also, it's funny that his point defenses are TH8, yet he has lvl 11 walls. XD
Farming is currently anything that doesn't mean buying resources.
The new boosting prices are obviously the culprit here. It's now entirely viable to use gems to boost. Also I think there's a psychological aspect. A lot of farmers are playing this game for more than a year. They (me included) that spending some money now justifies the time invested in the game (amount spent divided by months, if you will).
I wish I had all that time and patience to farm all that... but then again I rather go on living my life... either way congrats on your accomplishment and hope you spend that much time on your real life accomplishments
Really great achievement!
Wow, but those defenses... I wonder how you put in his clan name? I have been looking for him.
Who da hell is Icarus? :p
Does anyone know his GG since I don't know how to write his clan name with my chinese keyboard on my phone...
it's a shame he dosen't know we know and are congradulating him.......
anyways gratz! insaneeeeee amount of patience
Great work buddy dont know when will i get those :)
Grats, wonder what he will do know.
Fix the Gold Grab Cap SC!
Sorry for another post. Is it just me or his base looks too "light?" All bases when maxed out looks "dark-ish" and this looks pretty "light" to me. Probably the shiny level 11 walls?
Let's not forget that he simply might have used his gems he earned through achievements.
I might do the same after i earn my 5th builder. doesn't make me a gemmer. Does it?
Boosting is the best possible way to spend gems if you earned them.
Well done.actually one can farm till lvl 11 walls.salute!
lol kids role models now days are based on people spending time to upgrade virtual walls... :/ ahh the next generation has so much potential!
Very impressive!
HUGE achievement, worthy of recognition!
However it must be known that he boosts literally everything - day in & day out. He also occasionally gems upgrade times.
Whenever you visited - rax, mines / pumps, drills, spell factory, heros (recovery) were all glowing green and running at 2x / 4x usual pace.
A lot of hero & defensive buildings times were gemmed too.
I guess it does bring the term farmer into question, & whether they cross into 'gemmer' territory. What he has achieved shows that farming to max base is possible, but not in the timeframe that this was done without boosting consistently for a long period of time. Obviously the gold / DE needed was farmed, but a large amount of gems were used to make this process faster (still takes a long time). If you add it up then you're talking about 1000$ or 2 spent on boosting & the gemming of some upgrades alone.
None the less this is a major achievement & one to taken note of!
Well done mate. ;)
Wait Wut. Whats his gg?100 bil?
Make it a shortcut.
Congrats! That's something to be proud of.
Very well said! The guy is obviously a rediculously good of a farmer and a dedicated player, however, the term "farmed" is very vague at this point.
Yes, resources were farmed, but seing his DE drills on constant boost makes me wonder if term "farmed" is truly applicable. Constant boost of barracks also arguable point here. Not going into much detail, I would congratulate him again but reserve the right to apply term "farmed" with original meaning in mind.
I dont think he spent thousands, but couple of hundred bucks for sure - boosting de drills, heroes and barracks is about 500 gems a day with current reduced rates. Definitely worth the investment if you consider real amount needed for upgrading those walls if gemming resources.
P.S. Cloud Whiskey is the last true farmer refusing to boost... Not even spells when trophy hunting :) old school farmer i guess
Icarus is possibly the most dedicated person to any game that I have ever seen. Well done!
Does anyone even bother attacking his base besides TH sniping him? I'm curious to see what he will do after he has finished those Cannons and Archer Towers...Would he start to test his Trophy Hunting Skills? Or as a Farmer, will he just leave the game?
Oh... My... God...
I wonder what he will do when he maxes everything else. Will he start trophy hunting?
Wow that is amazing. However, I have to agree that farmed is not the right word. Maybe farmed with assistance.
Congrats icarus! I still can't believe your defense isn't maxed out though:eek:
That is incredible. Is it definately just one person?
Maybe one person and a fluffybunny. hard to say
Im having a hard time believing he is level 115 and maxed th 10 basically... Can someone post a screen shot of his gold grab and pm it to me please?
Most impressive however is 626 attacks won within last 7 days. Even if you add a ratio of 1:1 to include attack losses, that's roughly 150-180 attacks per day! If you divide by the hour, that makes it a complete insanity :) Unbelievable!

wow and i thought lvl 9 was good grats!!!!
Hardwork and dedication alright
Looks like he's pushing now...Wonder how high he'll get :)
Exactly! I look at it like this way. If I were to go and boost my barracks and log off, will I earn anything when I come back on? Nope. Boosting Barracks does absolutely nothing unless you put the time and work to play a lot during the boosted time.
I consider boosting buying resources and or gemming all of your buildings time so you don't have to wait gemming. Only way I can see it to be okay to boost a structure time is if lets say you are farming for your heros, you have max De storage. Then I guess its okay to finish off the hero with less time and start the farming again. Not that I have done that yet (Never even had max DE storage >.<) but I think its okay in my opinion.
Anyways, Grats Icarus.
This has nothing do do with Icarus and I feel bad for posting this, but just curious about your opinion re: the following.
Let's say there is an athlete who spent 5 years in training. After 5 years he/she decides to use steroids, but still puts the same amount of effort into training (or even more). Should this athlete still to be considered legit?
Term "farming" should be either retired or applied only to people that have farmed resources w/u any kind of boosting. Whether is was spells, troops or pumps - it is still using gems to achieve greater results the easier way. Saying that boosting does nothing is an overstatement IMHO
Well, I dont think this is a good analogy, unless we are claiming that gemming is "♥♥♥♥♥ing"
And I'm pretty sure everyone has boosted something at point. Are we saying that the 1 gem, 45 minute boost was a "discounted steroid?" No, we aren't. Boosting still requires time and effort, as Phatzub said above.
Of course 1 gem boosts are out of this conversation. Who wouldn't use those? (although I know a few that didnt use boosts even when boost was 1 gem).
As for my analogy, I think it is still relevant. You concentrate only on barrack boosts and I am including spells and pumps etc. I.E. Icarus is boosting DE pumps since November or so (on n off). Will it be fair to post a thread about him being the first to farm for lvl 40 heroes? I think it will be a major milestone for someone to get heroes to lvl 40 w/o instantly gemming them or at least not "gemming" resources, but is it really farming? I guess i look too deep into it being so kosher.
In conclusion... Yes, there is a tremendous amount of effort and human hours put into this and all the praise and credit goes to him and others breathing down his neck. Without downsizing the magnitude of his daily grind for walls, heroes, upgrades... all I am saying is that "farming" term is really wishy washy now (btw I've never said he gemmed! I was saying that "farming" is questionable, but the is no better word to describe this unique experience - semi-gem-o-farming-occasional-boosting experience)
He actually managed it! Wow! Congratulations the first max walls without gems...
Pretty amazing, not sure how he done it, lots of time on his hands
lvl 11 walls but lvl 10 cannons? lol good job either way!
Time to release level 12s...
Could someone explain to me why gg is capped? I would think that it would only be an issue if it was another digit, not just more than 2.
