It was between giants and balloons and I decided to go with giants.

When I get to Town Hall 9 going straight for the archers.
Archers and I regret doing them first. There insane cost and huge upgrade time with little in the way of a stat change, make them a poor return on investment.
Don't get me wrong, there critical if you want to be running barch, but you'd be better off starting off with barbs and following up with archers.
Balloons could work too. They aren't actually all that hard on elixir, but you need to be able to throw a good number of minions in the mix, making it a strain on DE levels.

I actually think you should go for something else. Archers get a small boost for the highest lvl 6 troop cost. Giants or balloons give you more bang for your buckQuote:

step 5 close my eyes and still 100% bases

Archers and their expensive selfs will be last, beside there isn't that much difference damage wise between 5 & 6.

Archers, most clans require certain level archers so it was obvious choice for me
