It has annoyed me when ive been searching for a lower town hall i can attack, but takes me 100s of searches to find one WITH LOOT. I think there should be an attack filter to search for the right town hall, a range of experience, and a number of elixir, and a separate for gold.

Your idea of a ‘Player Search’ is very creative, but unfortunately, it would create some issues and it's been ruled out by Supercell, probably for one of the following reasons:
1. Hundreds of players have the same name, so finding a certain player would be difficult.
2. There would be numerous privacy issues.

Perhaps he didn't mean 'player search' in specific
Maybe he meant that there should be a filter that limits the search to a people with a certain number of resources.
for example:
I set my gold and elixir limit to 100k
only people that have 100k of both resources will appear.
not sure if this is what he meant or not. but yeah, this idea was ruled out. You can find ruled out and considered ideas >>Here<<
