When to Upgrade to TH 9 (since new loot change)

Not sure how rampant hogs are since the price increase



But I highly discourage upgrading to TH9 without maxing defenses at Th8. At least since the December update Th9 have become a large target for th10. With lvl5 hogs and 20 extra troops, defending is hard (not impossible). Also Balloons are pretty common.


But the price of 65 DE per hog might of reduced there rampage.

They help out on air defense so i would say that cannons aren't really necessary... I only maxed them for looks

these are good reasons to move, if you have one of these then go ahead
- you've maxed defence already, so your builders is idle
- you've maxed walls, so you have to throttle farming
- you've maxed your camps, cc, spell factory and your farming troops, and you want stronger troops and challenge

bad reason to move, if you have one of these then you have to stay
- your loot is bad, you think higher TH level = more loot
- you want to get those fancy xbows / inferno
- you think you'll stronger with more def turrets and more walls to protect your gold
