My connection has been perfect UNTIL I got on the forums & HD's FB page reading how everyone was having connection problems. I guess I jinxed it lol. The last couple of days it took me a try or two before I could actually play the game but I can't get on even now. I really hope it's something to do with the update, hopefully this means its coming out soon....

Neither can I, and of course it's time for Tom to run another errand but I can't get on. Only started happening in the past hour, too. Sure hope it's not down like it was last Friday (during the boating event) for what, a couple of hours? In the most civilized voice possible, I can't understand why updates and the like can't be done during the week between events. I even put of hiring Tom thinking the update would be any day, but I'm desperate for goat cheese and shovels (just can't keep up with either one), so I finally broke down and hired him today.
I AM looking forward to the I-hope-we-get-more-land-expansion-opportunities update, though. :)

I tried again & was able to get on. After a minute or two I got a notification saying they were about to do some maintenance & the servers would be down for a few minutes. So I filled some queues & feed some animals just in case it takes a bit longer.

woohoo maintenance. I barely got my tom order completed before it popped up....first time in years I was able to get in under the wire. all ways before I missed it till after the servers got locked.

In the REAL world of applications programming, unscheduled unavaiability of a system is an OUTAGE. SC needs to Schedule these events and publish the times that the system will be unavailable. Like others, I will probably lose the use of Tom for one or two cycles, depending how long this outage lasts.
Talented guys, but they have very little knowledge of how to manage a software community as large as the hey day community. This has been a thorn in my side since I began playing.
