Best way to farm dark elixir?

i am currently TH 9 and am 1000 DE away from getting the archer queen. i am bouncing between 1000-1200 trophy range. in this bracket i find a lot of people with 250 DE just sitting at the edge of their base waiting to get taken. i usually dont get the win but i get the DE. when i have 3 lightning spells i try and trophy climb to about 1200 and find someone with roughly 700 that i can quickly take.

ill tell you what i thought hitting 1250 at level 24 with level 3 archers was hard. getting the queen has been a pain in the ♥♥♥. you just gotta stay persistent and sometimes pass up on good loot bases to find the guy with DE. You have to make it your main target.

maybe i did it wrong though, wouldnt suprise me. i always saw that when i went under 1000 trophys DE was nonexistent so i didnt want to go to the 200 bracket. and i like to farm so i never went above 1200 trophys really. so i dont know what is at the 1600 range. anyways best of luck to you

btw to get to 40k DE has taken me about 8-9 days. i also have a level 2 and 3 drill if that helps

Stuff like that is almost entirly at sub 200. I have been down there for 2 weeks now and ive only seen places like that 2 times so far.

I'm only 1.5k away from a barb king but I can't find anyone with either easy access DE or enough of it. What am I doing wrong???

Btw I don't have drills and I'm usually in the 1100-1250 in trophies

lower tr to <200 too much farmers that farm u with one unit u revenge them with the lightning and get very much de i got my burger king in 3 days with this tactic

Hey,
I understand your issue. DE is meant to be HARD to get.
However... do not use lightning.
There are multiple reasons...
1) The player is most likely a higher town hall, and will revenge your base. HARD.
2) Many people see it as a dog act.
3) You're wasting AT LEAST 40,000 gold to get a little DE.
AT TH8, which I am at, DE will come quite easily. Especially in the 1400-1600 cup range.

i think this Is the wrong question, the right one Is:" are you ready for higher trophy? "
In any case...

1 Villages with "out of the wall TH" are the easy way to make trophy, just be carefull for tesla ;-)
2 Raiding at 1400 trophy Is the best way to make DE, only if u got a lot of time to Raid every day
3 if you haven't got much time, get Drill, and upgrade them!
