I havnt really learned all that much from the forums, just come on to check out some cool things. Ive learned alot from all my clan mates ive been with and a bit of youtube
Because without your community (forums) I would probably be lost
Part of the enjoyment for me was/is trial and error. I wouldn't have made the mistakes I have made over the journey if I had been to the forums, and then the journey wouldn't have been so frustrating or indeed fun.
I actually find it quite incredible that some people don't figure out very simple things such as using BAM or BARCH armies to farm with. I'd been doing that for months, just didn't know it was called that till I joined the forums.
I only joined the forums yesterday, and Im hoping to pick up a few tips and tricks along the way, but I also think I will have safely managed to Champion without approaching the forums.
I definitely think hink trial and error is the way to play this game. Ok that base got wasted, let's try this. Ok that worked OK, but would be better this way. And watching the replays is definitely worth while to learn how others attack, and what works well in terms of their defence.

Personally speaking now that I have spent a few months reading and finding the answers to my questions and getting good in game direction, I enjoy passing on what I've learned to other newer players though the forum and in game.
A slightly OT question that I haven't seen asked before is - Could the forum be improved in the way that it helps us to clash better?
I have learnt a lot from my clan mates.
I come to the forum, out of some crazy addiction and while I learn the odd thing; I mostly just read a bunch of rubbish that makes me want to punch the screen.
But I keep coming back for more.
