Profiles - Their inaccuracy

So, my gf who plays this game along with me, is only 5m behind me on her gold grab.

Yet, if you look at our villages, there is a massive difference in gold used. Lol..

I know it may seem like a small issue, but it is still an issue. I have seen others who have mentioned about their inaccurate profiles, whether it is gold grab, or builders huts killed, etc etc..

Is this an easy fix? Could it be fixed? I would very much like to see how much gold I have actually stolen.

Not to mention the fact how belittled I feel seeing my gf who started playing 4 months after me overtaking my gold grab :P

Well GG has never been very accurate. This increases with higher townhalls.

You pay more search costs, your loot becomes worse, you lose more on defence and your re-arming costs go up.

One of the reasons it's always a good idea to max your TH before progressing to the next one.

True that, but when the difference between these two bases is as much as 80 lvl 9 walls ( 80m ), most defenses the same but again, a few higher, yet gg's are the same.. It's quite far from being accurate.. :(

The player profile came only after the update during late last year.. i forget exactly when .. so the difference in gold grab and all other achievements are because all the data before the profile was created is not included. I have the same thing... Im TH10 max except walls and my gold grab is only 300 mil + but i've been playing since oct 2012, however i did most of my upgrades before the player profile came and haven't been as active after it. My gf on the other hand started playing in june 2013 and she has a gold grab of 500 mil + and she is a TH9 max.

So it's not really an error.. it's just that they cannot include all the data from before the player profile was created. The profile just indicates how active you've been after the update with the profile came. Any achievements completed before that is just put in at the amount required to fullfill that achievement, ex if u completed the friend in need achievement before the profile came ... when the profile update happened your achievement count would be at 25,000..and similarly with other ones.

But yeah.. it kinda sucks that data before the profile could not be included in there.

Well its never accurate. I used to have max storages and never upgraded anything during my lower levels. Most of my gold was stolen

What do you mean gg is not accurate? How do search costs etc affect your gg? GG is the gold you looted , thats it. This will not change whether you nexted for 150k or for 2k.

The gold grab is accurate,what has to be taken into account is if you played before the profile update and also the bonus you recieve after a match also.So you could have a similar GG but due to being in a higher league had a lot more bonuses and therefore more gold to spend

The gold taken on your profile. I know it doesn't include anything else lol :P

The profile stats are accurate if you started playing after august 2013 when the profile update was added. If you played before then, any achievement you maxed the tally stopped. So there are millions of resources unaccounted for on most players gold grabs.

i started playing in September 2012, and i achieved my gold grab somewhere in November 2012. From December 2012 till August 2013, i looted around 3 million gold to 6 million gold everyday. In September 2013, my gold grab was only slightly more than 100 million.

How is that accurate?

That's exactly my point. Yes it is accurate from when they brought out profiles, but from when you started ( if you started before this update ) it is not accurate. I would love it if SC could update it so it shows all of what you have taken, from before the update to now, but I believe maybe it wouldn't be possible :(

I've never heard of anyone having this problem before?There are many many great farmers on here who pay a lot of attention to their GG's and they've never said anything about it,Maybe its something to do with your account or device?

My gold grab is around 800 million understated and gives me lots of problems. I cant go global, i got rejected by farming clans as they thought i gemmed 150 my walls to level 10 (if i gemmed my walls, why didn't i gem all of them), and i got questioned by my clan mates EVERYDAY.

The only options left is either quit, or loot back the missing 800 million and not upgrade anything until there is no discrepancy. Lol

A few good farmers have all their walls level 10, yet their GG show only 700 million to 800 million. I can't mention names here.

So what do you mean by inaccurate?Is it inaccurate cause it doesnt show what you've looted THE WHOLE TIME playing?Or is it inaccurate because since profile update you have looted more than it actually shows??

Info in the profile page is based on the date the profile function went live. So if you started playing before your GF, all the gold you raided in the period before the profile update is not captured.

For example, people have higher gold grab than me but dont have full L10 walls...but i do have full L10s and a near maxed TH10...but ive been playing since September 2012 and raided 100's of millions that are not shown in my profile...

I've been struggling with this too. me and my buddy play together and it just doesn't add up. I thought possibly about perhaps losing more gold as perhaps I am attacked more than him. Then I thought it was spells before they switched spells to elixir. But even with all of that, it still makes no sense.

Also,I won 9 defenses overnight Sunday night (most of em were people dropping troops) and then I attacked a few throughout the morning. None of that counted towards my profile or my stats either. My tally for the new season didn't start until Mid-day Monday.

It's super frustrating. I took screen shots and emailed to supercell but you know how that goes. I still haven't heard back. I just want the achievements to be obtainable and if they aren't crediting me with things I've earned, it's going to take me forever to get there. Esp the defense one being as I am usually a farmer with my TH outside.

I'm a level 114 and I play this game quite a bit. I'm not so hardcore as a lot of forum players but I still devote a lot of time to playing.

Anyway. my rant lol. I definitely hear your gripe. 20 bucks says nothing gets fixed

Seriously this is not an issue. I think some ppl just like to complain.

Most of the ppl on global dont even know what gg is. They see a lvl 40 in C1 and want to join.

The numbers cant be retro fitted so it is what it is.

I actually emailed Supercell regarding this, and the staff told me if i achieved my gold grab before 27th August 2013, then all the gold that i looted from the time i got my gold grab till 27th August 2013 will not be showed in my profile. In my case, that means 10 hours per day x approximately 270 days of raiding is not reflected in my gold grab. LOL i spent 2700 hours and i have to swallow it even if others accused me of gemming my walls.

Maybe you should be a bit more clear then,i thought you were saying that since they've brought the profile update in the stats arent showing what you have looted SINCE then...Everybody knows that the GG doesnt show any gold looted before they bought it in.If a farming clan is an actual good farming clan they will know and understand that it doesnt show any gold stolen before that date.

Keep on mind gold grab does not include gold from:

1.) your mines
2.) league bonuses
3.) gold purchased by gems

It only includes gold looted from your enemy's base.

Yep im one of them...all gold raided in the many months before the profile are not captured. This is my base on the day the profile went live...just to give a feel for what a person with 800m gold grab and full lavas probably looked like before the profile was introduced.

And yes the gold grab is accurate.Its counting gold stolen since they brought the profile update in.And it displays the correct amount so yes thats accurate

People sometimes think i gemmed my base too but if they take the time to look at my videos, they can see my steady progress through raiding alone! ;)

Most of my gold grab has gone into walls...not so much on upgrades since i was basically a maxed TH9 when profile landed.

I think my title is a little misleading.

What I mean about it being inaccurate, is the fact that people who started looting before the major profile update, have all the gold missing from their profile.

Yes it is accurate, from after the update. But this is about the fact that all that loot before is missing *sobs*

Perhaps for you it is an issue, Im sorry for you if that is the case.

I fall into the same categiory of ppl who achieved GG long before the stats were extended. Once I was accused on global of gemming and I tried to explain to the poster how the stats worked. He wouldnt believe me.

Comclusion - I couldnt care less if noob thinks Im a gemmer. I think gemmers are great for paying the developers so we can all play. Its not an issue for me or any of the 50 farmers in our clan.

And as I said earlier theres nothing that can be done about it, so whats the point to this thread? What do you hope to achieve from a discussion about it?

Right now now it is either i loot all the way to get 1 billion gold grab before upgrading anything, or i focus on my coming competition and ignore my gold grab lol

Well they need to get their heads out of their ♥♥♥ if that's the case. I suspect a famous farming clan rejected you for some other reason, because most are smart enough to know how the profiles work. Either that or they weren't happy with the amount you have looted since the profile update came out.

If you GG went down based off your nexting and rearming bombs and such I'd have like 300M gold looted instead of the 530million I currently have. Lol

Insinuating all I want to do is complain. That is not the case. I just want to see how other people feel, and also whether or not this could be fixed ( which by now I know it wouldn't be possible )

Yup i stopped playing from 18th August 2013 till 25th September 2013 because of relationship issues.

Think profile is a fun thing to follow and it gives some indication when new people request to join the clan. However one needs to remember that is it not showing the whole picture for some people.
