I left mine until i was ready for TH10 then maxed them as my TH upgraded. Never regretted not doing them sooner.
As far as I'm concerned, anyone who hasn't maxed their mines and collectors should be banned from complaining about loot. I see bases with low level mines and collectors all the time, just think of how much more loot would be in the system if everyone maxed their stuff!Quote:

My approach for now is to simply use one builder to build/upgrade collectors at the beginning of a TH upgrade just to make the new ones somewhat productive. This only takes a few hours. Then I focus all of my builders on defenses/attacking/containers. "Maxing" collectors is what I do last. Collectors have low cost, if compared to guns. In short, if you have enough gold to keep builders building cannons - you don't need collectors.
Upgrading them is a good idea. But their priority is low.
