The loot cap for storages is 400k each but if there is loot in the pumps/mines... it adds to the total
Lol. The loot limit is 400,000 per resource if you take all the resources from all 8 storages from a TH 10 with a good amount of resources. However, this limit is only for storages, it doesn't include collectors, lol. Your friend was correct, you just got confused.

Yep, that 400k is not the cap from a match :) I checked the Hall of Fame thread, and looks like the current record loot from one match is 2,8 million, attack made by Lintu. (Crazy!!)
