2. To help my defense
3. It scares away some people
4. It looks cool
5. My clan requires it

Intimidation is key. As a TH 9, if I ever see someone with level 9 or 10 walls, I don't even move my thumb off the next button, I just click and find a guy with level 5's.
Is there an other option for when you have to upgrade them just to get rid of some gold...

I am a bit of a perfectionist I suppose, I don't feel comfortable upgrading my hall without maxing EVERYTHING first. And yes, that includes walls.
I am however considering only doing some of/skipping lv 10 walls, 3 million for one piece is going to be a massive task.
