Why did I do this?

So there I am doing 18 hr shifts at work, getting no sleep and beginning to feel down. Then I get this bright idea to start my own clan, after all a level 100 player with over 37000 donations it shouldn't be to hard.
Twenty four hours later and I am sick to death of people wanting elder, dragons and dark troops when their bases are town hall 4 or 5, hoppers and basically immature.
So after a near break down last night, I decided to re-join my old clan, thinking that they would take me back with open arms, after all i recruited and taught most of them the art of the game, and also the second best player in the clan.
Yep you guest it, I was declined.
So the morale, think very hard what you are giving up if you want to start your own clan and it doesn't pan out.

There are lots of nice clans out there, sure you will find one that suits you.
I would not want to be a clan leader or even elder myself in this game, btw.
I am very happy that our leader puts up with that sh!t.

Ive also tried making my own clan and you just gotta be really patient and stick to your requirements no matter what!Never accept a member that will leave his clan for yours (he will do the same to u eventually) and recruit here not on global

It's very rough within a few weeks (or even months) after making a new clan by yourself. People come and go all the time, then eventually, some will stay. No offense, but the fact that you gave up your clan after 24 hours means that you aren't very fit to be a leader.

If you left your old clan due to conflict, then it's obvious that they won't accept you back. There's also a chance that an elder doesn't know it so he rejected. Just try to join against, if not, join a random clan here, plenty of great clans for you.

For my 5-6 months in Clash, I played in 5-6 clans. Whenever I outgrow my current clan, I move further and I consider it absolutely normal, when people go away to see new clans, to learn new stuff etc.
No one should be jealous about people eventually leaving, because best players go faster than others, thus, trying to keep them is limiting their potential. :)

And leader can't get sick of immaturity, wrong requests etc. Make your rules and make people follow them. If you can't - leadership is not your thing. :)

And pray to get some sensible elders, because clans are just created by leaders, but elders make them rise. :)

First off thanks for the reply.
your first paragraph, represents what my old clan went through to get where it is today. And yes I was the leader during this traumatic time! and eventually we become a settled group.
Secondly there was no conflict when I left the clan! I had given up the leadership a couple of months ago to another mature player and the clan was running well and I as one of the co-leaders. However Imhad always wanted to try to start my own clan, as the one I was in I took over when the previous leader quit the game.
the aim of this post is not a woe is me, as I understand that the clan will not kick people if the clan is full and a better player comes along. After all that was one of my rules and yes checking the clan it is full. I presume the post is more respect your leader, and if your thinking of starting a clan expect the rubbish that comes with it.

If this is the case, I think you should try to wait and join back your old clan. Maybe hopping around popular clans in forums for fun while waiting for an open slot in your old clan? Who knows, you may find an even better clan in the process.
If you still want to start from scratch though, as someone had said, you may try recruiting in the forum rather than global.

Like you I'd like to start a clan from scratch, but with work/family commitments, I wouldn't have the time.

if they were full I'd try again later. If they really won't take you back then it's probably time to look for a new clan. There are some ropey clans out there but there are a lot of good ones too.

They always come back. I mean, they try to come back...:D

lol man I feel ya... But losing patience after just a day??

We just celebrated second season together in my clan. the first two weeks I barely slept, hardly ate...lived on forum and lurked on coc 24/7...too exhausted to raid...recruiting recruiting recruiting and chatting chatting chatting with all the newcomers etc... and I had help from my friends and we are part of the Shadow Family with Ryans Legendary Beneath Shadows as our brother-clan.

Making a clan from scratch... you have to have a strong motive and some determination to make it work and I think then you can make it work if you are prepared to put in the time.

We are now so full, we can't accept anybody's friends anymore if they are slightly under requirements because we've grown so popular. I think it was the best decision to go into the own clan business and even though it continues to be challenging me and my trusty elder crew are well up for dealing with it as the reward is a fantastic clan environment with just the people we wanna clash with.

Well... I decided to leave my old clan, and I made a new one. It's going well already, and now leading a family. I'm pretty determined for this. I won't give up on my clan. Although th4 and 5s? That's too low, you need to set requirements. Just be careful next time.

what you should have done is asking a few veteran players of the old clan to go with you and form the new clan. This is the way how we developed our second clan. We basically have three major player create a second clan and after 3 months the second clan is also full.

what i would do is wait a while.
let them forget u.
then in a bit try to join again
if they decline then try a third time and say that u r really srry
if they still say no, join Miscellanium (my clan….. lol) we will let u in

It is very hard to start a clan that will be good, like good good. There are families who may need a leader for their feeder, so that is the best option. Member, Elder, Co-leader, or Leader doesn't matter. But as a Leader of a brand new clan, you'll need patience and you better have some mates or IRL friends who will move on with you.

nFinity where my account is now is a recently new clan, maybe 4 weeks old now and we had some members join us from the leaders old clan, but yes we've had so many people come and go.

now we have 2 clans which are at 48-49 members in each and fully active all day across all time zones which is great!
