Exactly. The Clan rating system borrows its social system from sites like facebook (likes), reddit (upvotes), Hot or Not (rating system-I'm always 9.0 what can I say?). Some people value this intangible electronic worth and will give anything to keep it high lest they fall back into just being another noob with a lvl 1 town hall in peasantland.

Thats what is so frustrating ..... It's an obvious strategy ... It's been detailed over and over .... How anybody can still not understand it goes against all logical reason ..... I understand if it's a dumb kid, but not grown adults ....

You're right. He is probably just up to shenanigans and his one single high leveled player actions are not in preparation for the update.

Well I can't blame him, he did put money into the game is is hoping that Supercell starts coding better, it's kind of hard to pull out the plug considering the amount of money and time that was poured into the game.

Its like owning and running restaurant for 20yrs and your going in red, some will sell it but the majority will try to hold on to it for various reasons.

If I'm not wrong sneaky is tired of staying at top clicking the button for hours for a single cup and no resources, if the only way for him is downgrading to farm who cares as long as he has fun. Supercell didn't give the high end players any choice.

OK so after reading all the comments, I have several questions and comments of my own that I need answered. First off, Initially when I read multiple threads on how people are complaining about "how the game is no fun anymore" after TH lvl8, Is that because you want to be "THE BEST DAMN COC PLAYER"? Are you guys angry because you guys have invested so much money in to a game that dead ends and CANT HOLD YOUR RANK? Is that what its all about? I personally don't give two ****'s about being the top ranked player. I just want to have fun. I guess I should have been more clear when I first started the thread. Knowing that I don't care to be the highest ranked player out there, Can i still have "AS MUCH FUN" with Clash of Clans from when i first started the game? Can I still loot/farm gold elixor as much as i did before when i was TH lvl 5-7? if I upgrade to townhall level 8 and what you guys say is true, that the game turns to ♥♥♥♥ because it gets extremely difficult to loot gold; upgrade structures, and have fun ..etc.. then ok! I'll accept the fact that I've paid money for gems and threw that money in the trash and quit the game. I DO NOT CARE ABOUT RANKING, i just want to enjoy looting gold and elixor and upgrading and bragging to my friends about how my village is better than theirs. Is this possible or should i quit?

Munski - it is entirely possible. A good portion of my clan is TH lvl 8, and we farm. We adjusted how we do business a bit, but we pull in quite a bit. Plus we have a blast doing it. Farming gold and Elixer is no different than going for cups in that as you progress in TH level you have to adjust. How you layout your base at TH lvl 5 vs. TH lvl 8 when going for cups is 2 different ways all together. The only gems ive spent on this game were for builder huts, and I am about halfway done with the lvl 8 walls. Find a good group to hang with and you will enjoy the game no matter what your play style is.
