If you're struggling and don't really need the gems, drop and farm. Masters will be there another day.
I see from your sig you're Th8, loonians is much easier at TH9, lvl6 loons +220 camp space. It would be easy then.

Seems like you made your decision. More elixir would be helpful though, can you consolidate your position and chase it for a few days? Alternatively could try BARCH - not something I've ever really used, but we know from the other guys on the forum that it works.
I'm a new th9, and army wise, nothing has changed other than balloon lvl 6. My camps are still lvl 6, cc still lvl 4. That being said, I was able to barch up to 2400, and then use balloonion for masters. Hogs, which mine are lvl 4, have also helped me push.
Only work if you have at least 4 lightning spells to zap the mortars.
Only 200 troop lv5 available makes is incredibly hard to 50% bases too. Good luck finding premies for 50% in the last 100 trophies to master.
When it comes to kamikaze townhall, giant is a better tank than a bunch of barbs, imo.
Suicidal attack, high risk, high reward.
aka.
release all your giant, then all your wall breakers, drop a heal spells, release all your barbs, all your archers. Then hope for the best that they will destroy enemy townhall (which is one or 2 layers inside the base) before they got vaporized.
