I have lv3 ballons and lv1 dragoon I always used 9 dragons and 20 archers and two rage spells which worked great so far...can balloons replaced my army dragon if I upgraded them? I just attached someone with 30 ballons and they came down faster then flies lol...
When you attack with balloons, you always want to make sure the air defense and any other air attacking buildings are taken out before sending them out.
Level 3 balloons are a good waste of housing space
You really need lvl 6 balloons if you're going air raiding. Also, most people run balloonions (balloons and minions) since it cuts down training time. The ratio depends on your cup rating / targets and how much time you want to spend inbetween raids, but anything from 30-70 minions rest balloons is normal, I should think. You'll want to have at least 2 rages, for the rest of your spells you can mix and match. Heal is obviously useless against TH10s, unless they've got dead ITs.Quote:

What Rastis said. It's just that unlike other troops, like the archer where the difference in stats betwwen lvl5 and lvl6 is minuscule, with balloons it's huge.
That's is my main reason for wanting to upgrade ballons, lv6 is almost 3x then lv3, I usually raid with dragoons every 1.5 hours, upgraded dragoons will be much more expensive to train...sitting at 1400 cupsQuote:
