Yo! I'm an old Gemmer.
I started gemming late town hall 8/early town hall 9. I spent probably 500 dollars on it, then deleted my account.
My question is I'm town hall 5 on my new account, can anyone answer this question for me?
How many gems to max th 5?
After that how many gems would it take to max th 6

I personally wouldn't rush it. The majority of complaints I see on here are from people at end-game. The majority of happy posts seem to be coming from people th9 and below just enjoying the game as it unfolds.
I think it matters considerably if you just want to gem the times.. and use barch to farm gold/elixer of that u are very lazy and want to gem everything...

Really save your cash for maybe TH8. TH5/6 can be maxed quickly

But why not just get your old base back through support? After $500 you think you would not just give up on it like that!?
I can't really answer your question, but:
Why bother paying for something that you're not enjoying? Improving on this game takes patience. Gemming can help it, but you shouldn't be 100% gemming. Isn't that boring? The game is meant to be played, and of course, that be supported by gemming.
