I think having a map where we can choose who to attack makes the game a lot better be cause clans can have wars
And what about been able to capture outposts and have like a secondary base?
and the ability to be able to chat with other people and other clans (using a better system than the global chat)

maybe not a map, but a list of available player to raid, with trophies, gold and elixir available to get if 100%

But at least complainer won't be able to say they can't find good amount of loot to go for OR they will complain because they cannot get easy good loot anymore
You can't compare a game that is based on a map with CoC. That is totally different. When they add a map; this ruins the game: firstly, all players are able to attack you and secondly a map exists to show distances. In CoC distances doesn't exists. So you can list up all players in the world and you can tap on the name to attack them. This is exactly the same.

and by the way for the map all you need is a simple 2d map and every time a new village is created simply place a 2d village icon at a random location on the map
another idea why not have clan aliences (sry about the spelling) and the ability to donate resorces to people in your clan who really need help

I am completely against this, I won't name any of them but I have left other games because this ability promotes trolling. Here is the scenario I find myself in. My shield/beginners time runs out. Then someone located in the general facility of me says "Join my clan". I decline since me and my friends have our own clan, then they keep raiding my and telling me they will not stop until I join their clan. You wouldn't think this to be a big problem but I have run into this on many occasion, one thing I love about this game is there is only a revenge retaliation and after that its over. No way to troll.
